@@nyleajjj They might be it’s a lot of “name a time when…” but if you have an volunteer experience or anything you’ve done at school that might relate to the questions. There’s a video on here that has the exact same questions if you’ve applied for General Merchandise, you can study the questions and be prepare your answers and you get 3 times to perfect your answer so if you didn’t like the first one you recorded you can do a take #2. I got the job just by using one of these answers for my phone call follow up interview. I was scared bcuz I have never had any work experience and I thought that would make them not hire me. But I used one of the answers u provided and the lady i talked to on the phone told me this job sounds like a good fit for me. The next day at 10 am, I received an email saying they’d love to work with me. I am so happy that I finally got a job after so many failed attempts at different places. Thank you so much

Hi Richard, I’ve really enjoyed watching your videos and appreciate the great content. I’ve been in the insurance industry for 10 years (salesman 3yrs, client support analyst 6yrs, business analyst 1yr) and have always wondered if my lack of a university degree has kept me from progressing/advancing (and ultimately stuck in the $50-60K salary range). I completed a 3 year BA program in 2010 but did not meet the minimum GPA requirements to graduate. How much weight does an interviewer actually place on education for an applicant who has 10 years experience in the corporate world? I would appreciate any insight/advice you could offer. Thank you.

Thanks for your feedback, Henry. I appreciate it. To be truthful, I don't believe many hiring managers will place too much on education, especially if you have so much experience. My advice is to keep trying and the right opportunity will present itself. In my experience, networking is valuable in creating positive connections with people who can recommend you to certain employers or hiring managers. I also recommend considering putting yourself on the books of a high-end headhunting recruitment consultant who will be able to guide you and present opportunities within a higher salary range. In my experience, persistence and determination always win, so I am sure if you really want a higher salary, the opportunity will come soon. Good luck :)

Guys trust me! This channel helped me with my first job at Walmart! 😭 I have an interview at target later on today (it’s 2:13am in Cali as I type this) and I hope this helps! Update: I got the job! They really do ask trick questions like these in the videos. Just be comfortable and laugh, since you can’t smile because you’re wearing a mask. And also remember their names at the end of the interview. That’s good points xD

I just had an interview today (10/12/2022 for TSS Target Security Specalist even with 20 plus years of experience in Security and Law Enforcement I think I did well at this interview with AP Asset Protection lead however I wished I would have watched this video prior to my interview!! great video indeed very informative! I just applied and interviewed. I'm unsure if there will still be openings, but I feel confident about my interview! The questions I got were 1. Explain why your background and experience would be a good fit for this job. 2. Tell me about a time you had to work with someone else to achieve a goal with multiple tasks, while under a tight deadline. Describe the situation, your actions, and the outcome. 3. Tell me about a time you had to make a major change to your daily routine or re-prioritize something you were working on. Describe the situation, your actions and the outcome. 4. Tell me about a time you exceeded the expectations of someone by anticipating their needs. Describe the situation, your actions, and the outcome. 5. I have my online interview with target tomorrow and this helped a lot, this will be my first job and I wasn’t sure what would be in the interview. Hopefully i get the job😊🤞 Update: I did NOT get the job. The interview went well, but i just got done with my freshman year of college so I’m looking for a summer job and won’t be able to work after i go back to college in the fall, so thats why they said they didn’t hire me😭

Applied for tech consultant and this was the interview questions Work experiences How you work on deadlines Tell a time you encouraged somebody How do you stay up to date on technology how to approach a customer tryna buy a tv And if your working and a customer needs help what you doing If there’s an item a customer wants but target doesn’t carry what do you do Last one is a yes or no just say yes it’s about how much weight you can carry and stuff

So they asked me how I would go about selling a specific item (I believe mine was face wash) how I would approach a guest without selling to them right away, what’s a situation where you made a suggestion to improve quality/quantity or work and a time a persuaded others. And they left out the written response question for some reason the page didn’t let me do one and said I was finished.

@@JOYJOY-sg6cv the exact questions they asked me were: 1. Imagine a guest approaches you and needs help finding an outfit for a wedding. How would you engage them? Why would you recommend? What would you do if a size was out of stock? 2. Why do you want this position? 3. Why are you interested in fashion and interior design? How do you stay on top of trends? 4.Tell us about an experience you had with interior designing and helping someone out with style. 5. Tell us about a time you motivated someone to keep working. I didn’t remember how the questions were exactly worded, but the first one is the exact wording! I hope this helps :)

With experience, you find most jobs in retail ask similar questions. So if you have an in person interview, just go over how you'd answer these questions in your head a few times while you are getting ready for the interview. Also, sit up straight and tall, give a firm but not tight handshake (if that's still a thing after Covid), walk briskly but not fast while the manager is escorting you to the interview location, that makes you look confident (even if you are nervous), a lot of in person interviews are also the body language. My last manager admitted he knew I was hired before the interview even started from how I presented myself (and I am a really shy person).
