I don’t want to say that you’re entirely wrong but you are missing the key problem. In cutting costs, Target has cut service. Have you gone into a Target at the end of a busy Saturday? It’s in a shambles, and that is because the payroll hours are so low. Who wants to pay a premium to shop in a mess? Then you go to the register and the line is a mile long because there is one cashier and a bunch of customers fumbling at self checkout. Honestly, I love the Target aesthetic but if it’s choice between pay more or less in these circumstances, I might as well just go to Walmart.
My target hasn't lowered anything. Everytime I go in nothing is reduced. They've also cut their associates, because I can't find nearly as many on the floor. Target wants consumer to come INTO the store. vs. going online. When I order online at Target, it's for a pickup at the store.
Yes! When I did the math and price checks, it's mostly random items that got price cuts. Some toys or less expensive pillows, bedding, not much price cuts on food.
I don’t go there anymore because they’re basically anti consumer at this point. Long lines for self checkout and no checkout lanes being staffed by personnel.
Same. I don’t go to stores and pay too dollar to be treated like a criminal. I certainly am not bagging a cart full of grocery’s. Ain’t nothing in Target worth it. Save my money instead.
They raised the rotisserie chicken salad to $7 and left the rosmary chicken salad price at still $5. Ive also noticed my circle bucks seem to have disappeared. They have become pricey with limited choice. And i do most of my shopping on line for groceries too. Then i dont have to carry them home. I live ten blocks from the store in NYC on the UWSso order ahead and pick up things that cant be shipped. I can be in and out quickly. I never browse in the store
Tar jae pinky up (Target) has always been an expensive store. I shop there occasionally, but NEVER for groceries. With my limited income, I'm better off purchasing groceries from Aldi or Winn Dixie....if desperate I'll purchase non meat groceries in WM.
I'm a longtime Target customer. I shop at Target specifically for certain items on a regular weekly basis because they have the lowest prices. They also have the lowest prices and best quality for paper, cleaning and laundry products and drugstore items. I sometimes buy cosmetics if they are on sale. I shop Target Circle sales. I like that I get an extra 5% off my purchases. I also like that they have Starbucks. I have dropped some items I use to buy at Target because the prices went up. BTW, they have great fake plants.
I shop at target every week but I like better than Walmart. The customer service experience is better and not everything is expensive there it depends on what you purchased.
Customer service is definitely better than Walmart but Walmart is KILLING target on low prices right now on most things. Not all but for most essentials, non beauty items right?
Idk where you guys live but I’m in North Dallas and every Target I visit I’m always in bliss away from the Walmart mayhem. The only downside I have is the clearance section for the women’s is always in shambles and the shoe section but of course those two places are going to be messed up lol. Other than that I definitely have nothing but great vibes in Target. Also, in terms of price, no one is forced to shop there. Not happy, go somewhere else 🤷🏽♀️.
