This video was more informative than any other sporting shooters I have watched ,, aside from my favorite Ed Solomons and Johnny Carter you are my new favorite !!! PERFECT LESSON ! PLEASE KEEP UP WITH POSTING AND I WILL SHARE IN THE USA!! Thank you again!
Dear Michael, what can I say...such high praise!! Your comments are hugely uplifting and incredibly kind. We've got some great stuff coming up, I only hope you continue to enjoy. Thank you so much for your solid support.....USA, HERE WE COME!!!!!!!!!!!
I can’t tell if I like “swing through” or “sustained lead” I feel like “pull away” requires too much to start on the bird. I think my style is just a hybrid of “whatever happens” and I need to be more intentional about it. Is series really helps, even though I’m in the US so we do fewer “driven” targets. Great stuff, you’re a fantastic teacher.
I have loved this video. 1-2-3. Your shooting is so calm and smooth. I struggle SO much with straight driven. I am going to start trying to hone 1-2-3 now. Thank you so much.
I'll just add...I had a go on some random driven targets this afternoon with more success than I've had in a long time. I now have something to practice. Thank you again.
No pressure then Michael...!!!! Thanks again my friend, so kind!! Check us out on instagram @hownhallshooting and Simon is a monthly contributor in Sporting Shooter magazine and indeed Clay Shooter. Stay well and stay safe👊👊🙏
Simon this video was fantastic, as a newbie to shooting this was perfect, very clear and easy to digest. After this video I then found your 'The Basics' series, again brilliant content. Can't wait for the next instalment.
Max, I am really pleased these clips add some value to your shooting, this is ultimately our aim. Thank you for your support and please do not hesitate to call the school, if indeed we can be of any help to yourself, moving forward! Very best, Simon.
Thank you Lewis, "Incredible"!! I'll take that! you are very kind indeed. Jack, the camera-man sourced the music, I think its a sample only!?!!! Very best, Simon.
That was really in depth, and I really like the way you prevented the two different shots simultaneously My Nan when she was about always had a saying it’s not broke. Don’t fix it and you’re the first instructor to say that 👍 I’m definitely gonna be watching more of the videos are really enjoyed this one 👍
Graham, thank you for taking the time to comment, it is hugely appreciated. So often it seems that the over complex detail is provided to mask a shortfall... I say, refine the basics, understand your own style, then enjoy the journey....and, remember Nan's words!!🙏 Thank you again.👊
Good evening Simon, thank you indeed for your kind comment and support!! very much appreciated.. we will do our best to continue!! Regarding my jacket, its a "Field Coat" from Ralph Lauren, circa the 90s.....almost vintage but not quite!! Best place to source is Ebay, as they doo pop-up from time to time. With best wishes, Simon.
Driven shots are having the confidence to cover the bird with the gun when you pull the trigger, it's totally alien to those who haven't shot it as a bird selection, you rely on your off barrel eye to see the bird as you shoot it because the barrel is in the way.
