Thanks a lot for this. When this cover came out, it was better than I expected. Even though I wasn't thrilled at the beginning that Tarja chose Angels again. But the result is absolutely epic. And I can't wait for their concert next month in Prague. This is such a great cover. Tarja's vocal range is incredible. It's a shame that many people refuse to recognize how much development Tarja has made with her voice since Nightwish and keep repeating that she still sings the same and operatic. Meanwhile, in this song: as if I heard three completely different singers.

This is such a great cover. I love the original song and this is such a different take on it, it almost feels like a new song with a familiar melody. A true artist.

Wonderful rendition! Yeah, the intro got me off guard as well, this low register of hers is very haunting. But then her interpretation through the whole song blows me away. Only Tarja could do this! I'm so happy both Tarja and Sharon have this sinergy, so humble of them to do this to the fans!

Thank you very much for your reaction. It's a very different interpretation of this great song by Within Temptation, but beautiful. I love it. ❤❤ Tarja and Sharon are both phenomenal singers with excellent voices that have always fascinated me. (the best example is “Paradise”) I've been a big fan of both artists for many years and still hope for more collaborations. Tarja's song is wonderfully sung by Shanon, it's definitely worth a listen.

For a little context: this isn't the first time Tarja covers this song. For one of her solo shows, in 2017, she invited Within Temptation's vocalist on stage, Sharon Den Adel, to perform an acoustic medley together, for their songs "Angels" (Within Temptation) and "I Walk Alone" (Tarja). It was a one time only sort of deal, and the only available recordings of it were very low quality. Ever since, I've dreamed of a full band, professional recording of that cover. I am so, so, so happy ww finally got it. I would highly recommend you check the original song by Within Temptation. It's a very beautiful song, very different from Tarja's interpretation, but still amazing.

It should be noted that this is a vocal cover only, no new music was recorded, it's Within Temptation's original music from their 2004 version of the song. The same applies to Sharon's cover of Tarja's 'Until My Last Breath' and Sharon's cover of Annisoksy's 'Like A Parasite', the original music recordings of Tarja and Annisokay was used. The songs are a just for fun gift to the fans and to help promote Within Temptation's upcoming Bleed Out tour, next week Annisokay will release a cover of a Within Temptation song. Tarja and members of Annisokay will be joining Within Temptation on stage at various times throughout the tour, as will Ukrainian singer Alex Yarmak and members of Ukrainian band BLIND8.
