He is a power drummer with a wide repertoire. He's one of my favorite drummers, and man, can he pound those bass drums. And was was admitted into the Guinness Book of World Records. I have this album on DVD and Blu-Ray.
Mike you are my hero and you know my heroes too (the girl and boys from Nightwish) you with ARP, stunning, solo stunning as a fellow American, you make me proud dude,
always the entertainer... caught Mike w/Malmsteen back in the early 90's when Mike Vescera was singing..... unfortunately, Yngwie has alienated himself from those who helped him carry the torch..... amazing drummers, singers, bassists, keys......they, as musicians were far more responsible for his success than his ego will credit them for.... kudos mike......from steel spiked drums in a loin cloth, to this......... epic stuff...glad i caught this and the rest of these vids......
I absolutely love Mike Terrana's work in all the bands he's passed through, especially his work with Tarja, and I tend to mention this specific solo frequently when discussing the greatest drums solos of all time, but to downplay Dave Grohl's incredible talents as a drummer is just absolute foolishness. Even if you don't recognize his skills with Nirvana for some reason or another, just listen to his contributions on the entire "Songs for the Deaf" album from Queens of the Stone Age. He's a brilliant drummer with impeccable speed who is actually very precise in any live setting, although isn't as easily noticeable when judging his earlier years in Nirvana due to the rawness of their performances, which was intended. Personally, it's the more studio oriented drummers who rely on editing to help boost their technical abilities beyond what they're capable of replicating with accuracy in a live setting and their constant use of triggers to create such a fake, digital sound that I hate seeing being showered with praise over someone as honestly skilled as Mike. Grohl, however, most definitely does NOT fall under that category.
Absolutely do not agree. He is a garage drummer with no real technique. I get you like his playing but I've been playing and teaching for a long time. He is average at best.
Hey do you have a drum studio? You sound like you're pretty good. I'm just asking honestly, most people are full of themselves and I'm looking for a good mentor.
Jajajaja q mierdas hablas tu vale??
