Funny that all the discussions about who is better for nightwish seem fan-made, because it's clear that these two like and appreciate each other!

I prefer Floor myself, I think mainly because I'm a new Nightwish fan and she is the singer I knew first. At the same time I respect all 3 Nightwish singers, each brought something different, and respect anyone who prefers Tarja or Annette over Floor. I never get why people argue so much over it

@@Cariad1709 for me, I first knew Tarja, that was great! Than I heard Anette and I lost my passion for Nightwish, not because she was bad(!) but because the metal and opera feel which Nightwish had before was gone. Now with floor it's back and I'm back, too...

@@bogenstark_kai8461 I feel the same way. I started listening NW with they 2nd album and Tarja's voice had big part in that. While Anette is good singer she didn't really fit to NW's style that I know and love. Floor how ever has outstanding range and NW's style that I know and love returned with her.

@@Mecha82 I bought the 1st 2 Nightwish albums simultaneously from a catalog that came with a Stratovarius CD i had just received. Was amazed at how much I enjoyed Tarja's voice , having a great dislike for opera! So glad I had the money and desire to seek out different music then! My first time seeing this performance I was mind blown! I immediately recorded the audio into my main playlist in preference to the studio version! I may be wrong, but I think Marco and Tarja made amends during a recent Christmas tour and may perform together again! Floor may also perform on this years' Christmas circuit, i surely hope so! Floor and Marco had a great performance of "Ave Maria" previously... yeah, too drunk, I'm out LOL BTW, similar reaction to Annette! Beautiful woman, good singer... But... Not a good fit for Nightwish IMHO!

I loved this video back when I first saw it. I just wish it had better audio quality .. but it’s still great to see. I think this video is very healing and positive for the Nightwish fans.

Oh yes. That was a great festival. Strrsm of Passion, Anneke van Giersbergen, ReVamp, Tarja on stage the same day, to name the most famous. This was the cherry on top at the end of the evening as Tarja was headlining. At the time it was a strong statement as the press was insinuating rivalry and all kind of bs between both singers as Floor had just joined Nightwish.

if you see, before starting to sing something says Floor to Tarja and Tarja points to raise the mic. Then Floor signals for her mic to be turned up. and then Tarja beckons over the sound again. they were struggling with the sound.

Tarja is the Opera-singer with those high-vibratos and Floor does her heavy-metal power-belts. Love this. Anette is more pop-singer (which is also good)

one thing i love about this gig, these 2 proved what i have been sayin the WHOLE time, there is NO Tarja v Floor, it has always been Tarja AND Floor, but some fools would rather put a v between the 2 names instead of an and, the weirdos, after seeing this, i hope they now feel like i do :)

It's AWESOME watching these two old friends jam out together on the same stage. You ought to check out EPICA: Sancta Terra live where Floor sings on stage with Simone Simons and they just dance around fangirling over each other. It's just a great song made even better with the addition of Floor's powerful vocals.

They already have reacted to „sancta terra“ months ago and also to a few Epica songs If you had just invest a short moment of your time to look up what kind of videos "the Wolf Hunters" have already posted in the past six months before writing your request, you probably would have noticed that this channels journey of discovering European metal and Rock Styles is already far beyond the surface of requesting first all standard beginner songs for newbie reactors like „Ghost love Score“ „Storytime“ „Romantcide“ „sancta terra“ and „Stabat Mater Dolorosa“

I don't know why people are always making up rivalries between female singers in the metal scene... Floor and Tarja, Angela and Alissa, Simone and Amy Lee... It's just nonsense... They're extremely supportive of each other and always enjoy sharing the stage!

Because people make up rivalries between women everywhere, unfortunately. Nobody seems to be able to handle the idea of women not being at each other's throats, to the point that they will make it up if it's not there. And I don't mean fans necessarily, but the media does it big-time.

LOve them both so much, but man the sound quality.... it's like you know it's great but you can barely hear it cause at least one of them is set not loud enough and yeah, poor sound guy, but there must have been rehearsals or like sound check xD

This song is originally by Gary Moore, you should check some of his stuff out as well. The man absolutely rips the hell out of the blues. I recommend Parisienne Walkways live at Montreux.

I just read in these comments that apparently this is NOT Gary's original song. Searching around and, without any audio to confirm it's the same song, I found that it has been a song for some UK army division or something in 18th century, Led Zeppelin has done it and then Gary Moore (before NW). But Gary is the one that "everyone" knows thins song from.

@@Garbox80 I think Gary specifically wrote these lyrics. But the melody is probably taken from the old army song then I suppose, I'm pretty sure Gary had multiple songs that were based off of existing melodies.

@@Garbox80 Casper is right in the first place, the song is a Gary Moore original. He wrote the lyrics and the basic musical structure of the song, with some obvious melodies taken from traditional Irish/Celtic music. But it's very much his composition! What some people are getting confused about is the song TITLE, since many bands/artists have used it over the years (Led Zeppelin, for one).There is no copyright on a song "title". I could write a song called The Boys Are Back In Town, with my own lyrics and music, but nobody of sane mind would confuse it with Thin Lizzy's classic. It's just a song title!

Looking through some of the comments, people are confused about who originally did this song. It was Gary Moore. 100% his composition, since he wrote the lyrics and musical structure. Obviously he lifted some traditional Irish melodies and put them in, but why not? Smart move. The song works and it's been covered by many bands/artists other than Tarja. If anyone is still doubtful, then Google is your friend...

As I understand it, musicians who are used to communicating with the public, creating, energy exchange. Forced to sit at home and essentially lose their qualifications. Ordinary people at least have a way out - vodka, but this is not enough for creative people. I hope there will be a revolution soon and we will all be free.

they became friends years ago......Nightwish would do shows with After Forever, so, eventually years later, Floor, having left After Forever, and was on burnout status with ReVamp, was contacted by Tuomas, who had wanted Floor when Tarja left Nightwish.....
