Tarja is still my dark angel of music and for me the most beautiful voice on the planet. Wonderful Christmastime is so dramatic. I love it. Once again thank you Tarja for a wonderful album. The contrast of white and red in the videos is so amazing. But I probably would have liked it more if the videos worked with Tarja's character more to telling micro story and the videos were more varied. I think Tarja is a good enough actress for that. But maybe that doesn't match her vision of what the videos are supposed to deliver.

Agreed! Too much sameness with all of these videos. I absolutely loved the first one then ended up more and more bored by each successive one. With the production values illustrated they definitely could have done more.

Yeah well she is the mother of modern gothic metal so yeah. She is the queen of the scene for millennial goths she is the icon.

Because they don't know what goth is 🤣🤣🤣 don't get me wrong, i'm tarja's greatest fan and i also like dark/goth stuff: neither nightwish or tarja EVER had ANYTHING to do with gothic metal and even less with goth (or dark) music. Maybe we can connect tarja with the more neoclassical side of the goth scene (the side started by dead can dance), or relate her to one like diamanda galas but for sure she never had and doesn't have anything goth in her music 😉

@@metalgymbro4890 I don't even try to categorize her music, but it definitely has a dark mysterious effect on me. Tarja has always struck me as a bit gothic in her artistic personality, regardless of whether her music meets the attributes of gothic music. I'm not arguing, but overall I'm wondering how Dark Christmas could be described.

Oh yes! My favourite so far. The arrangement is so awesome. The choir and the guitar. That chest voice! I am here for it. It's perfect for this ambience. I have to say, with much surprise, that this one is my favourite.

It's crazy that she spent years trying to develop that "mixed" higher voice, i mean the mix between classical and normal but high voice, resulting sometimes in bad nose-y sounds when all she had to do was granting the world with that incredible, low chest voice that shatters hearts and minds! And i'm also surprised because this is one of my favs! Considering the ones for which we already have the video i'll say that jingle and first noel will have a good fight with this one. The only one i don't really like is white christmas: wonderfully played and sung but too close to the original for my taste, and i can't stand the original ;)

@@metalgymbro4890 I know. Ever since Century Child with Once being already very telling. Tarja's full head and full chest voice are full on godlike. Now, her falsetto, hybrid of the two is not bad, but overly used. That's what we always get in the studio.

The child's choir used in this, and other songs on the album, I believe, was performed by children from Tarja's own neighborhood. Her daughter and daughter's friends, I think.
