If your experiencing tearing its not because of low latency mode. It's because of Gsync and if this is because of the settings in this video that is because you are using gsync within your monitors refresh rate WITHOUT Vsync active, Vsync needs to be active along with gsync on gsync monitors.

@@GallusAnonymus94 vsync in NVCP is fine or in game whichever suits. It's not advised to have vsync on in both NVCP and in game although it does not have a negative effect if you do. Usually vsync on in NVCP in programme settings on a per game basis or just set it on in the global settings to be applied to all games you play
Do not use MFAA. It was made specifically as an addon to MSAA, which in turn was made for pre-DX11 games (Tarkov is DX11). MSAA is not in Tarkov, so MFAA will either do absolutely nothing, or cause issues with the DX11 command list, reducing performance.

I definitely had an improvement in my FPS after using the settings from this video as well as the other FPS boost video from this channel. My rig is pretty outdated (gtx 980 / intel i7 4790k) and I had a significant increase in my frame rate without compromising the way the game looks. A+!!!!!
thank you for describing everything, really helped me out - went up 35-40 frames thanks to you. That and I also deep cleaned my pc and caches, uninstalled bloatware ect.
bruh this helped so much w my gpu utilization. was running low settings and still using 98% utilization w my 2060 super. but after this it went down to 65% utilization and temps are lower. i can now increase my graphics. thank you vox
just installed nvidia driver 472.12 its much better than the lastest one for my gtx 1070 ( lighthouse before max fps 70 low 50 , now max 85 low 60 and no more lag when I scope )
Thanks for tips! Been struggling with Tarkov settings for days since i reinstalled it after taking half a year break or so. I also did a complete uninstall and reinstall of drivers, didnt install geforce experience. Texture filtering performance works better than high performance for me, dont ask me why but some games absolutely hate high performance. Low latency mode off, vsync controlled by application setting. Nvidia reflex on ingame, no vsync. Driver capped frames at 72 on 75hz monitor, tearing is barely noticeable on the bottom of the screen with frames under refresh limit. Also id like to add that threaded optimization has nothing to do with hyperthreading, at least from my understanding it has nothing to do with eachother outside working together. I dont mess with post fx and i dont recommend anyone doing it if you havent tried different settings on your monitor first.
If you have vsync turned off in the control panel Gsync will not be active in-game. You can verify this by clicking on any category under display, then clicking "display" on the menu bar and checking "show Gsync icon".

1) Nvidia have image scaling that disabled for you but can be very handy for downscaling from 2k to 1080p on non-rtx GPUs or even rtx until DLSS will come out. 2) If I not mistaken you monitor is 144hz, VRR like gsync cant work outside of its hardware range, if you not locking your fps to 144hz cases. So locking your FPS on 200 with G-sync enabled on 144hz monitor AND disable v-sync is not the brightest idea. Thats where your tearing is coming from, not from low-latency mode You missed 2 quite important features in you vid bro
The amount of streamers/youtubers making a living from terrible information based around gsync/vsync alone is shocking!! Bottom line with a gsync monitor is Gsync on, Vsync on, cap frame rate -3 under monitor refresh rate using NVCP max frame rate, RTSS or if CPU bound use in game reflex On+Boost. Where in game reflex is not available use NVCP low latency mode Ultra
Like the other guy implied the tearing isn't necessarily from exceeding his refresh rate but it's from not even having gsync correctly enabled in the first place ON TOP of having wrong framerate settings. With low latency mode set to ultra it'll automatically cap the framerate around -4 under his refresh rate so that isn't the issue (although still not ideal). The issue is not enabling Vsync which is required for Gsync to work to begin with.
Setting low latency mode to ultra is pointless if you're just gonna use an FPS cap for Gsync anyways. What Ultra does is limit your framerate about 3-4 fps under your refresh rate so that Gsync can be enabled no matter what. Just use "On" if you're gonna set a manual limit. Also for those who don't know you need Vsync enabled in order for Gsync to work. Some games work better with Vsync enabled per in-game settings but it's much easier and reliable to just set Vsync on in the control panel under global settings. If you set it globally make sure it's turned off in-game however since you have it enabled already through the driver. If you have an example refresh rate of 144hz then you should set a global fps cap at something like 141fps to ensure Gsync remains engaged at all times. If your framerate exceeds your refresh rate then Vsync will take over and introduce input latency. You want to stay under your refresh rate for Gsync to be used instead. I have a 165hz gsync monitor so I have globally set these settings: an fps cap of 162fps, low latency mode on (not necessary, probably not reccomended to even enable at all), gsync and vsync both enabled.
Yeah I don’t have a cap but if you have one at like 300 or so I’m Nvidia it’s fine because of you don’t certain people get crazy stuttering in the menus
Im trying to get more than 50 fps but no setting I change has ANY effect on the FPS for better or for worse Tarkov is just not utilizing my resources. In Raid CPU usage is on 20% and GPU on 30%. I have watched a dozen guides by now nothing had any effect... in the hideout I got 144 fps with 60-70% GPU usage but on any map the game is on 50fps sometimes 40 some times slightly above 60 for a PVP game it's unplayable. I'm honestly out of my wits...
Sounds like a bottleneck. I'd assume your CPU is struggling with the other players on the server. I don't know your specs, so I could be wrong. Hopefully you've fixed the issue by now.

You can do some of the colour tweaking through intel software if those settings are missing in Geforce Control Panel. It's mainly causeed by your monitor being plugged into integrated gpus on laptops.
I'm lucky to get about 60 fps with my 3080, 32 gb high end RAM, and Ryzen 7 5800x. I've tried every guide, tweaked every setting, and can't figure out what is capping me out there. Factory sees 140+, but every other map is a shitshow.
Max res, try all high vs all low, i have a 5800x and a 2070S and when i play all low i actually lose fps. Also try using the “alt + r” keybind for nvidia’s interface to see what is being utilized more to identify the bottleneck
I am in the same boat and I have the exact same rig as you. 5800x, 3080 FTW, 32GB 3200mhz. The problem is that Tarkov is not utilizing the GPU correctly. On my system, it's only using 60% of the GPU. All my other games are blazing fast on all Ultra settings at 1440p. I've also tried everything. Graphics guides, Ryzen Master tweaks, Process Lasso. You name it, if I could find it mentioned somewhere in some thread, I have tried it. I am getting 80-90 FPS, I should be getting 120-140.
@@thatguythatdoesstuff7448 80-90 fps is honestly all ur gonna get on average rn most likely, because the unity engine switch actually somehow fucked it for everyone instead of makign the frames better. Almost everyone is suffering from this, few rare select people are lucky enough to not be bothered by this and still run at 100-120 fps. I am sure Tarkov has select favourite pc parts, and works different with different parts. It's fucking stupid.
@Ajus Lucky Yep. That's the conclusion I have come to as well. I guess I should have no complaints, because if I just shut the frame counts off, I would never know. On my settings, the game looks amazing and runs very smoothly for me. But having this new GPU not being utilized is like buying a Corvette and being forced to drive in a school zone.
Every video ive watched that is suppose to enhance performance when playing tarkov all makes the game worse. Except this one. You got my sub. Game is super smooth now.!!
I didn't have screen tearing until after going through this tutorial and now that i've reset everything the screen tearing stayed... (edit) I found my issue it was because I tried to use HIGH texture quality, so I had to set it back to medium and it helped IMMEADIATELY. I hope this could help anybody else who had the same issue while troubleshooting.
Texture quality has nothing to do with it. It's probably because this video incorrectly sets gsync up. He even tells you to disable vsync which is required to be enabled for gsync as well as a framerate cap under your refresh rate. Which, again, he messed up.
My problem remains that Tarkov will not utilize my GPU fully. Some previous update saw my frames dip from 90-110 to 55-65. I was using a Ryzen 3600x and a 2060 Super, 1440p and medium-high settings. I upgraded to a 3080, for no reason other than I was able to get it at MSRP. People claimed I had a CPU bottleneck because I was using the 3600x with a 3080. I game at 1440p, so this doesn't make any sense. But, against my better judgement, I upgraded to a 5800x. And it's literally made no difference. Tarkov will only use the 3080 to about 60%. I get 80-90 FPS when I should be getting 120-140. I've tried every recommendation in tweaking CPU settings using Ryzen Master and Process Lasso. Every combination of graphics recommendations, including from this video. Every single game I play utilizes the card correctly. Horizon Zero Dawn on all Ultra settings runs up against the 140 FPS cap I've set. Uncapped, it's running at 150-165 FPS. So it's not my rig.
@Mikhail Zen 3 processors have a unified cache and benefit very little from lower latency and tighter timings. So little, it's pointless to run anything but stock speed and timings. Faster memory is a benefit at 1080p, but not at 1440p, because resolutions above 1080p are a GPU bottleneck, not a CPU bottleneck. Tarkov is no different, no matter what people try to claim. I borrowed a friend's 4x16 GB 4000mhz kit to test against my 4x16 3200mhz kit. Once again, it made zero difference.
You're chasing ghosts. Your GPU sounds like it's working exactly as intended. Your GPU isn't at 100% because it doesn't need it. You can't force it either because frames are limited by how quickly the CPU can queue them up. So it's not like you're missing out on untapped performance on that front. Tarkov is much more CPU heavy and your GPU is already doing all that it can. In this instance even overclocking won't make a difference because the extra clock wouldn't accomplish anything. It can't work on frames that don't exist so why would it waste the voltage for a higher clock? If there is an issue I promise it isn't the GPU usage. Something else is wrong if you're sure your framerate is messed up. I wouldn't be surprised if the issue is on the game's end as it definitely doesn't run as well nowadays as it used to. I used to run an i6 6600k and a GTX 1080 and it ran fine for the most part. When I upgraded to an i9 9900k and an RTX 2080ti the difference was basically made nonexistent at some point. I used to regularly run over 110fps and now I average like 70-90 with stuttering.
@@MintyLime703 This was a known issue with 30 series cards. It's not chasing ghosts. BSG did some optimizing a few patches back that alleviated a lot of the problem. I know Tarkov is a CPU intensive game, but even games known to be hard on the CPU become bottlenecked by the GPU at 2k gaming and above. All the testing I've watched, only way high end cards (3090 level) benefit much from the highest end CPUs and overclocking, unless you scale down to 1080p, where the CPU is the bottleneck. The 5800x is heads and tails a better chip than the 3600x. Better clocks, better cache, more cores etc. And it made no difference to the frame rates when I played Tarkov. So yes, the issue was with the game. But at the time, it wasn't every rig having the same issue. My friends have RTX 3080s as well and Tarkov regularly utilized 99% of the GPU at 2k, exactly as it should. The only difference, they were running Intel CPUs and I was running AMD. But plenty of people with 30 series cards and Intel CPUs were complaining of the same utlization issues in various forums. Ultimately, it's the game.

if you have 1080 native upscale with DSR to 1.75 or 2.25 (2k or 4 k ) then use NIS to 77% or 85% as you want in your game use DLSS quality and RTX ON xD
I run on a i7 7700k, 16GB RAM @ 2400 MHz and a 1070ti 8GB, still run terrible on maps like Woods, Reserve and Customs: ~ 40-50fps while I run 120 on Factory or Labs, any tips? I followed this guide and did the DPI scaling override
setting "antialiasing - transparency" on multisample has absolutely zero effect because "antialiasing - mode" is on application controlled - can you explain why you changed it anyway?

I just noticed while monitoring my temps after buying new fans for my computer. When i play tarkov my CPU usage is about 40-60%, and my GPU usage is constantly at 0%. Anyone know's what might be the problem? I know it's a CPU heavy game, but running at 0% load on my GPU and 40-60% on my CPU seems abit sus to me??
In my experience, if you double down on low latency you will get negative effect. Ive only set reflex on ingame and turned it off globally and in nvidia control panel. I did the same with other settings too and Tarkov now runs at 72fps without any drops on my fake g-sync monitor, ive locked max frame rate to 72 in the nvidia control panel to remove visible tearing i get when set to 73-75, or when uncapped i get over 100fps but with tearing obviously bc my monitor doesnt support it. Im at a weird point, where if i upgrade my GPU i would have to upgrade monitor too, and vice versa.

btw the physical core thing is weird , a lot of people say just use only physical cores and that gave them more fps but with my 5600x i get more fps if i disable that

@@BrokoFankone lol depends on the game i can run fary cr6 4k 60 fps , cyberpunk 1440p 60 fps etc lol cod warzone 1440p 140 fps and all max settings so yeah you can go a lot of games 1440p with lower then a 3070
@@BrokoFankone Before my current rig, I was Tarkoving in 1440p on a 3600x and a 2060 Super. Before one of their patches fragged their already bad optimization, I was getting 90-110 FPS. After I was getting 55-65 FPS, but it was almost unnoticeable because of monitor sync settings. Only my FPSOCD was coming into play because the monster inside me wants its frames.
