This is a really great deck ! I really love it and i must have it. Thank you Simon this was a really great detailed look. I probably would not have bought it just by looking at the cover on the box but it is really great. It kind of reminds me of a cross between the joie de vivre, the Tarot of the Sidhe and the Deviant Moon. It helped me calm down after seeing PP's last videos. I bought this when it was released & it leapt straight into my favourites pile. As you say, everything about it is wonderful. I love the intense detail in the art & the book. When I finished reading I felt like Nuages is another of the fantasy lands I have spent so much time in all my life. Thank you as always Simon 😍 Again I have not seen this on any other channel. x
I ordered this on a whim today as it came up on my Amazon , so came in search for a walkthrough and so pleased I ordered this it is such a clever deck and loving what I’m seeing and also intrigued by the images. Love the colouring and the backs. Thanks for the great walk through simon 💛🙏
Thank you Simon ! I've had tarot Nuage for a few weeks and LOVE it !!! It is more of a wintry deck though. Pairs beautifully with White Light Oracle and the Archeo Oracle. 🌺🧡💕❤️ I believe it is pronounced like the French word Nuages meaning Clouds, Nu-aj.😊
I really loved this when I saw all the cool little beings and the story behind it. My heart kind of sank though when you said Marseille style. It really speaks to me though, all the little characters, it reminds me of Adventures of the Wishing Chair, books I used to love as a child. I might still give this deck a go. This is lovely. I agree its kind of a mix of Patrick's style and the style in tarot of the sidhe. I wouldnt even call this semi pip. To me this is fully scenic rws inspired art. Thanks for walking through this simon :) x
Wonderful to hear you mention Curious Goods from Chesterfield, that is a wonderful shop always a pleasure to visit. Have you tried the Oracle X produced by them, it really is a great deck. I hail from Chesterfield so maybe I am biased.
Nice that you have 2 Fool cards because of the chipping on one. That leaves you the option of orange edging if you still want it. This deck has all the elements that appeal to me. I like the bleeding tattoo type black line work...the stylized images, the many depicted spiral energies, the toadstool people and correct me if I'm wrong, the beautiful orange and ivory autumn card palette. I didn't notice US Games copyrights on the cards. Is it there?
No, they’ve stopped doing that recently, thank goodness! Yes I realised a few moments ago that would be why there was an extra two cards …because it’s the first and the last card, so in case they get damaged. A bit like the top and tail blank cards that used to come with older decks.
I really like this deck. It is one of my most used decks. It’s playful, serious and mischievous. The only thing I don’t like are the backs. The back design seems disconnected from the look feel of the fronts.
Clever thinking!! And I’ve just realised by answering this why there is an extra of each card, because they are the top and the bottom card and so used for protection in case they get damaged. Lightbulb moment! 💡
I thought you might like this.. I ordered it when it first came out because it was an impulse buy from US Games website!😂 I wanted to show it in a video but I never got around to working with it.. I was expecting it to be more Marseille-ish. It did have a Patrick Valenza vibe but I found the faces to remind me of Tarot of the Sidhe.. Even the story is similar as the Sidhe except they went above not below. Good to see you Simon ☘️💙
