I've had the original Tarot of the Moon Garden for decades. Yes decades. It has been my go-to for almost as long as I've been reading tarot. I'm excited to get the updated version. Thank you for bringing this up

The purple edges finally got me. Its coming from Amazon same day delivery,this afternoon. I've had the original for a long time,and, love it. Later,I bought the book,too.

It could go on my list. The art style isn't my absolute favorite but it makes up for it with the colors. Colorful decks really get me. I didn't love the description in the 10 of swords because it seemed to only read for the passing of a loved one and the 10 of swords covers a wide range of "rock bottom" aspects other than grief from death and this one catered to grief from death.

I own both the original version, and now this new borderless edition! I wasn’t sure how I would feel about the borderless-ness! Lol. But I like it more than I thought I would as well, same as you did with how unusual the card dimensions seemed at first! The original still holds a sacred place in my heart though. Things I like about this deck, are how the moon phases reflect the energy or meanings of the cards, and the “whimsical” I suppose card suits. I also happen to enjoy seeing how decks incorporate the important symbolism of the RWS, into their style, and I feel this deck does that pretty cleverly! 🦄

As I said definitely fairytale 🦄feeling to the art style, a unique feeling to this deck. Might be more inspired to think of art projects than I want this deck right now. But still on my someday list, just other ones that are more urgent on my list. Prioritising needed, even though your channel definitely inspires to a big deck library. I need to set limits and boundaries... because I'm not in a position where I can let myself go full "I gonna catch them all" or have all of them in my personal collection/ Library

@@WickedMoonlight1 Definitely hard if it is a special interest even if it's a new or just for a few weeks. At the moment your channel both helps and not with my impulses control because I can check out so many gorgeous decks and go okey which of these do I prefer? Still so many just amazing decks

I really like it. I love the purple gilding and the colored pictures of the cards in the guide book. I do wish the cards were wider but maybe that is just what I am used to. I really dislike cards that are too big so perhaps it’s more of a pro than a con.

The art style really reminds me of a book I had as a child something with the plants depiction was something that my mind thinks of rainforest but not sure why, also fairytale feeling if the art style. The size/ format makes me think of bookmarks... it's interesting

I have the older version of Tarot of A Moon Garden and i have to say that i like this new version better. The pictures really pop in this new version. The older one with the boarders i have had for a long time but don't use it that often because it is so busy but without the boarders i can see more of what is going on in each picture 😊Thank you so much for sharing this with us.I went and ordered it through your Amazon link. I wish they actually updated the cards - they just cut off the borders (and some art with it). If they made it diverse and extended art a bit on left and right, made it borderless, it would be perfect.

Tarot of a Moon Garden was my very first tarot deck back in 1996 -- it was sold with and without the full guidebook (I wasn't lucky enough to find this until earlier this year). Loving the new life US Games has breathed into this re-release of this deck. The new backs and card finish look lovely and hoping the gilding isn't too sharp! Agree it could have been updated a to include more diversity.

Is this a remake of a deck by the same name made maybe 15 years ago ? I have got to find the deck , I know I still have it. It did have boarders but very similar

🦄I like the size of the cards and the width, but the art tyle isn't really up my ally and the guide book - at least in the sample reading - seems a bit too final to me, like the future is already set and what's in the cards will definately happen etc. It's more fortune telling than guidance I feel, so not really compatible with my belief. But the size is actually something I wish more artists and authors would explore.

12:55 my eyes played a trick on me and the person in the nine of cups card looked like a hand the legs like fingers or maybe the feet as fingers, thought it was so cool hand in there then I saw it was a person not a hand... not a thing from Adams or a hand of a person hidden in the foliage...

It's practically perfect EXCEPT the linen cardstock. I know so many people love linen cardstock but the texture just irks me, especially visually. I'll still probably get it as I've wanted the deck since I started with Tarot but hated the borders. The purple gilding is pretty, but that metallic gilding is so often sharp on the hands. Not sure why we're going back to that now after stopping it for a while. It's interesting and a little frustrating how some of the Minors are pipish and some are more illustrated. I'd have preferred them all more illustrated. In terms of diversity, I'd prefer seeing it too, but this deck is actually older, at least more than 15 years old. So diversity wasn't a priority when it was originally published.

I checked and the original bordered edition came out in 2000 or 1996, so at least 23 years ago. 😊

Oh thats exciting! I do not currently have any classes, that is on my very long to do list. As far as any channels that teach tarot, I don't really have any recommendations off the top of my head - there are a lot of really great readers though. Advice that I would give you is just be authentically yourself. Don't try to compare yourself to other channels - you will go crazy. People will come to you because they enjoy you and your personality. Also in the beginning, uploading consistently and a lot helps with the algorithm. I hope that helps! ❤️

I want this deck but I also am very disappointed in the lack of diversity. It makes me feel unsure of purchasing. It’s my style of deck. My favorite type of card stock (linen) purple is even one of my favorite colors but I find it difficult to support a deck that doesn’t in put any people of color. It’s almost 2024 and that’s just nuts to me. Great video thanks for showing us the deck❤️👑

Nobody's ever satisfied. " There's no POC, not enough women or differently abled people-there's no diversity!" " There's like 3 diverse cards, That's tokenism!" "There aren't enough men or children. It's unbalanced!" " There's only one person in a wheelchair. And, it's the Chariot!" " Every single card has some age, color body size,sex, disability or orientation represented. It's too diverse! It looks phony and forced!" " It looks like everybody in my family,my friends,my neighbors, my whole town. It's distracting. I like idealized fantasy for card reading!"
