The astrological signs represent the final ten degrees of one sign, then the first twenty degrees of the following sign. Only on court cards. For instance, Father of Fire is 21-30° Scorpio, and 1-20° Sagittarius. The book includes key words, meditation suggestions, all the details. It’s 420 pages, and includes a really useful index. I consider this deck as the Light version of Crowley’s Dark Thoth deck. It’s quite fascinating.
Thank you! I suspected it was something like that, but I didn't want to spend time speculating without a means to verify. I already ordered a used copy of the book ($15 including shipping from Alibris) and I can't wait to dive in! It does have that Thothy feel, as I commented several times, and I appreciate the validation.
I haven’t read the book or used the deck in 20 years, but I still have it. I’m an artist myself, and the paintings are amazing. Note these are NOT electronic collages of photos, but each card is a unique piece of art.
Excellent point! I think the Sacred Circle Tarot was one of the first to enter the realm of digital maniplation of photographic images. You can tell how new it was by the pains the artist Paul Mason took to describe the process. While I don't judge or devalue whatever medium anyone uses to express themselves, there is a huge difference between producing 78 actual painted canvases and typing prompts into an AI generator. The personal investment in terms of time alone--the years spent nurturing a talent into a skill and then the time spent actually making the things--is significant. I don't have any AI decks so far, so I can't say what the difference is, if any, when it comes to reading. It's just another facet of the continuing, vital conversation about AI in general. Thanks for the thought-provoking comment!
Great that you sometimes show older decks, I had never seen this one, love the artwork, thanks! You brought a lot of nuggets of wisdom in your reading, that's what makes your walkthroughs unique!
Blessings to you, Marina! I am going on a mission to find US Games decks from several decades ago that I may be missing. There have to be some more hidden gems waiting for me! And it's sure to be less overwhelming than wading through the current FLOOD of decks. LOL
Tarot of the Spirit is an amazing deck! And the large Pamela Eakins book is in-depth and insightful. I absolutely love this deck. I will often pair it with the Primordial Tarot for an As Above, So Below reading. I find it works beautifully with Pride of Dragons Oracle as well.
I just got the notice that the book has landed in my mailbox--WOOHOO!!! A little story--I hadn't heard of the Primordial Tarot so I looked it up. The artwork is by Manfredi Toraldo, and that was familiar because he was the first deck artist or author that commented on one of my videos! He commented on the Dragon Tarot because I was grumpy about dragons with breasts-=-LOL!
@@TheZenWitch Hope you like the book! The Primordial Tarot I have is a Lo Scarabeo deck by Sergio Toppi. Barbara Moore wrote the text. Oh! I just looked inside the cover and saw Manfredi Toraldo is listed! I need to pay more attention to the fine print. LOL!
Hi Luna! Hope you're happy and healthy ❤ may I please request a review of Tarot de Carlotydes 🙏 I think I may connect to it but I'd love your insight before I buy
There's already an unboxing for it! I received it as a gift a year or so ago. It's a wonderful deck! Here's a link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oSThCV-YNgE.html
I don't, unfortunately. I collect mostly mass market decks. Every once in a while someone will gift me with an indie, which are usually too expensive for my budget. I think I have five or six in a collection of 450+.
