People afraid of pulling the Death card should see the imagery on Ten of Swords in some of the "edgier" decks. Now THAT is a card with an almost universally accepted negative meaning. Also known as the "ruin", "tragedy", "inevitable doom" card. But I don't expect the movie to delve into the Minor Arcana because of course it won't.

I read too and they always portray the death card that way in scary movies it’s movies like this why people are so afraid of tarot or think of it as “unholy”

Yeah it was really entertaining really interesting that the critics hate it but the audience is lapping it up. Not really into dark decks but this deck would be interesting if it went into print.

It's based on the novel Horrorscope but why not just change it to Terrorot? I guess that doesn't work after all. Damn.

When people think of Horoscopes, they automatically think of the Sun signs aka Zodiac signs (Aries, Libra, Gemini). So I think it was best to call it Tarot to make it more relatable to the plot (Devil, Hanged Man, Hermit, Death).

@@OMguyhait Yes, it makes more sense because, in the book, the characters get killed off in ways predicted by their horoscopes, which is astrology, not tarot cards so why they'd keep the same name but change a major part of the premise seemed weird.

As long as you cleanse the deck before you use it there's absolutely no reason to not use anyone else's deck. Same as folk say "someone else should buy you your deck"... if I had to wait on people buying me decks I'd have about 2 rather than almost 100.

@@MrDrkNoirThey would belong to us if we bought them lol. But regardless, yes it is an unspoken rule cuz it can mess with the energy of the deck. But it also depends on the reader. I personally don’t like when people use my decks because they’re sacred and personal to me, but it’s always important to cleanse beforehand and after hand just in case.

That's too high for a 9/10 rating. I haven't watched the movie yet but I've read some reviews saying how bad the movie is. Is this really worth a shot?

I totally agree. I loved that when it came to each individual death, the cards were quite literal. Gave it a 'final destination' feel, and I LOVE that movie series. I love horror, but nothing genuinely scares me. I was hot-boxing with 2 friends at the drive-in theater and the way the movie read my sign as well as my newborn daughter's...? MADE ME.CRY..... (in shock) I was genuinely scared and I haven't felt that in a long time. I LOVED THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you read cards in a fear state all the cards will give you is your fears back to you. I think to truly understand the cards one should be a student of Neville Goddard's teachings. You are just having a conversation with your own godhead within your own matrix and the cards clarify the energies around your own matrix. There are no rules to life - life is chaos and so are the cards. If you put rules on the cards you put rules on yourself. People who are superstitious should not be playing with any esoteric tools as their own bias fears will effect any answers given. Like poison... Your own fears and pain are actually the shadows in the dark.

Best one I have seen is Rider-Waites. My one came with a nice little hardback called Key to the Tarot. It had a bag with the collection from Amazon. Then I got the JoJo Bizarre Adventure version which looks good. Then I got a pack of Waites cards but a holographic version. Then I got ones that look like an Indian version but the cards have different names. I would probably stick to the Waites cards but I like the JoJo ones as well. Get the one with the nice hardback book because it explains everything and it looks neat on a shelf.

an Etsy called ShadowArtFinds has some great dark painterly tarot cards. its by an independent artist and the designs are hand-painted and made by a person who is involved and immersed in the craft. hes very helpful and they have multiple designs for decks and even their own unique oracle (non-tarot) decks for specific uses such as shadow work. I love their shop and honestly theyre going to be more worth your money than a hollywood marketing team, as hes a small, hard-working shop who actually knows what any of the cards mean.
