I learn at least two or three new things in each of your videos. Sure beats watching commercial television.

I've been camping plenty of times, but I just learned a LOT. Never saw that dogbone or crossing the stakes before.

Good stake out with the canoe, good height, two people good, lot of room. Just got my replacement tarp from Tentsmith, Yeah new tie outs. Deer camp went well only two showed, lot of deer only one gave an affordable shot, NEF-bp, done. The alpaca blanket did very well, OH. temp was 16-19 degrees with 4" snow, as long as I had a good fire, great, about every 3 hrs, woke up cold had to feed the fire, good for another 3 hrs. Never got it wet, so unknown about wet alpaca's quality wet, VERY soft. Thanks Dave

From one vet to another thank you...learn something new everday. Never seen the cross staking method. The dog bone you made for the guy line reminds me of the old GP tents guy line system.

Great video, Dave. I wish that I was able to make it to one or more of your classes. Being in the military makes it much harder to just go out for a few days at a time to just live off the land and enjoy myself. I appreciate all your videos and vast knowledge that you share with all of us that aren't able to do what you do every day. Thanks for sharing another great video.

That cross staking is one top tip that I've never thought of, will be using that in the soft forest floors I get out in. I just use an adjustable knot on the guy line though instead of the dog bone you created, less work and saves your tools edges.

Hey Dave I love all your vids keep up the good work. I have another place people can find bank line for a good price fishing supply stores jts called siene twine it comes jn many colors as long as you get black jts tarred and the same thing as bank line for the big rolls its any where from 10 to 18 dollars. I live in the pacific northwest the seattle area we have a lot of commercial fishing suppliers here thats where i get my bank line. I have not found it cheaper any where else. You just have to remember to call it siene twine i asked for bank line and the guh bad no idea what i was talking about. You can google fishermans supply stores in wa stae and find a tore that you can order it from online. I had to share thus with fellow woods men and figured one of your vids whould be the best place. Thank you Dave for sharing all of youu knowledge with all of us you are a great man!!!

Is there a huge difference between the weights of bankline? You talk about #36 bank line. I found a 1LB roll of #48 for $9.99 so I bought it. Will I notice a huge difference between #36 and #48?
