It looks like we're looking at two different timelines, one where this guy has keeps repeating the tournament because the prize looks good, but has no idea he's been doing this again and again because he keeps getting knocked out, and one where he keeps coming back for more because there's so much prize money.

@@pokeyclyde2428 Ingame timer stops during "WAIT" part, so waiting there is better is you're going for ingame timer (like McHazard), but if you care about RT timer, you just force him out of that state (like Le Necroyeur).
To be clear, McHazard is playing using a slightly different set of rules since he also speed runs the main Punch-Out series. In those games, the in game timer is used as opposed to real time to measure speedruns.
Points press vs speed run. This was a good side by side comparison. AW would have been more popular had they added more characters. After Frank Jr, they should have started with 5 new characters and a few rematches. I think that would have added to the allure of the game IMO.
In a better term, there's no 100% but bankrupt%. Since the goal of the "100%" in Arm Wrestling is to leave the game in bankrupt, Necroyuer's run accomplish in improving the time saved than McHazard's
Since this is a predecessor to the punch out games, and all of those game times are measured by the in-game fight times, mchazard went for the fastest fight times, and beat out the other runner by quite a lot
