Thanks everyone for your generous support! I'd have NEVER EVER thought a ctr tas would have been this well recieved despite the time of release. CTR was the only naughty dog game without a tas (for reasons beyond its extreme complexity for optimization in tas, which i might explain in a video), so i thank you deeply! I am currently working on making a version with a commentary, and maybe a video on how the tasing process works. Would you be interested in these?
Just wanna ask out of curiosity, why you did not keep the reserve and go USF all the way track in N.gin labs? i've seen TAS get 1:59 or something. is it only possible using penta? thank you

This was a really interesting video to watch. It was also really funny timing, since I've been watching a ton of TAS videos and got back into OG CTR lately. I'm gonna do some work to share this around, because it definitely deserves the attention. Great job to you, and everyone else that put work into this.
Amazing to watch! Love how big of a role the items come into play. 42:30 when you're about to lap Pinstripe and you get a green shield the last millisecond before he hits you with a bomb. Then same thing against Oxide at 45:12 but using a bomb to break the red beakers!

It felt like the loading screens for papus pyramid lasted longer than the race... This was absolutely amazing to watch. I liked that items played a big role in the TAS even though it was probably very annoying for you. Oxide station was also so incredible to watch, I'm glad I got to see it twice because it was insane. Great job and thanks for making this.
Amazing, and outstanding work, especially since optimizing with this character seems to have been a lot of pain on some tracks. Sometimes I feel like the speedometer doesn't give glory to some of these sgs cuz some of them feel indeed almost as fast, if not faster than usf, how accurate is it on the actual speed you're going at?
I appreciate your words a lot! The speedometer is built up on a function that calculated xy speed, not RAM speed (inaccurate). Also the last section of it (light blue) is over-usf speed! So only for short frames (the game forces to slow down) it goes even there on sewer speedway
This speedrun is basically when you turn on your PS1 at 9:15pm and your parents tell you that you have to be in bed by 10 p.m. for school the next day.

This was a *BEWILDERING* watch. Being an avid CTR player when I was young, this tickled my nostalgia bone! But dang! Amazing video! Especially when going against Oxide! I was jaw dropped and laughing because: -IMMEDIATELY when the race starts, Tiny rushes to enter the pocket dimension while Oxide was crapping put a flurry of weapons -Uka-Uka desparately yelling "WRONG WAY!!" -Oxide thinking he'd best the Earthlings by racing for their planet, but Tiny is playing a game of 4D Chess - *_The fact that Tiny already finished the race just as Oxide started or was about to start his 2nd Lap_* Kudos, my man. Excellent playthrough!
Wow there are many shorcuts that I hadn't even seen before... you've violated this game in many ways😝 nah just kidding. Althought I'd like to see you collect all the gems, tokens and relics even so I liked your video👍
You just quite literally BROKE MY BRAIN! I had no idea how broken CTR was. I've been playing it basically since I was born and have mastered it the best I can (I have a record about 1/2 a second behind the world record for Crash Cove) but what you just did blew all of my skills out of the water. That was amazing!!
Im still unsure about this, wouldnt it be the same race for 6 more laps? Except for CTR tokens in crash cove, tiny arena, and oxide station :-) Definitely will think about it
Maybe you can do like a "all tracks" category, so you can complete the other tracks like the turbo one or the cristal challenges. I don't remember the process of unlocking them, but I guess it'll be less repetetive and you can add those tracks that didn't make it with less % completion
I keep thinking I know the route the TAS'll use during each race. (or at least average lap times) Then I actually watch the track and it's insane what the TAS can do. Great work with this guys.
