This is a hacked version of Sonic the Hedgehog. The title character is replaced by his rival, Knuckles. The levels remain unchanged.
There is more than just an appearance change to this game. Knuckles' abilities remain intact. If you haven't seen Sonic the Hedgehog completed before, you may wish to do so before seeing what a character with a spindash and gliding can accomplish.
Contrary to the previously published movie ( tasvideos.org/... ), this TAS forgoes zips, as it shows off the hack better.

@@rendidatriansyah6103 It was patience and time. But the hardest part was optimization. I and Shiro needed clear optimizations. He got Marble 1 optimized. I got Spring Yard zone act 1 optimized (thanks for the help Evil_3D) and optimized Star Light Zone act 1. Shiro improved act 2 of Scrap Brain

They need to release a sonic game with every release where you can play as every character. That was the cool part about knuckles back in the day was the different play mechanics. Sonic has so many characters too.

I'm pretty surprised how knuckles is dark red in sonic 1, I've played this rom hack before

It's because the main color palette never been changed (vanilla color palette), so the hack maker make sure to work around that. The red of Knuckles in this hack is actually the same color palette for Sonic's shoes!
