As someone who's done a lot of work with the HK TAS tools, let me just say that a truly ridiculous amount of work must've gone into making this. RNG isn't something we can just choose, but has to instead be manipulated by careful choice of inputs, which is quite challenging when you're trying to juggle all the other crazy stuff going on here. Super impressive and very fun to watch.

@@cuberknight Putting aside how of course RNG manipulation is essential if you are going for the quickest kill possible, it isn’t strictly necessary to be able to win the fight with a TAS, right? Or is it? (Also damn it SteveKnight678, you just beat me to noting that the Radiance appearing in one’s dreams might not exactly be a good sign… xD)
Average 3.0 grinder's skill 1 week after boss is out: Sick tas man, I can actually see people eventually beat this boss God if someone beats it hitless my soul shall leave my body.
This was the most incredible hollow knight video I have ever watched. I can not imagine the amount of time that went into this. Not only do you have to be incredibly skilled to pull off those dodges; you also have to get an incredibly lucky run (I’m talking about that sword wall at the beginning). The second stage of AR3.0 was thought to be impossible and yet you did it without getting hit!? Oh man… I think I need to lie down it’s hard for me to process this, wow. (Everyone get ready for Any Radiance 4.0)!
I'm not sure if you noticed but this is a TAS (tool-assisted speedrun). A human gave a program a set of predefined inputs. This level of input precision is impossible for a human player.
@@kurtronqx7135 That said, with the way things are going I feel like AnyRad 3.0 might be human-defeated by Silksong's release; I've seen some really excellent attempts on the first phase already, and considering that the final phase is barely a challenge...

WHY OH WHY is this video getting recommended to me like 9 days late!! Wow. I am absolutely speechless. I was convinced that there would be no TAS for Any Rad 3 because of the absolutely bonkers 2nd stage, and you proved me sooo wrong. AND this TAS was out in like 3 days! Are you okay now? That must have been a lot of work, and just want to make sure you are fine. Congrats. It seems like nothing is un-TASable for amazing people like you in this community. Also love that it just says "k" at the end as if the dev is just done lol.
I don't have words, the amount of detication to find the right RNG manipulation and find spots to attack must be way more than most people are willing to give. Great work my guy, hope to see more crazy stuff from you.
I was having the same issue and I ended up kinda cheesing it with a silly dmg tank/heal build that made P3 honestly trivial. Deep focus, quick focus, quick slash, grubsong. Every other boss is fine even in P4 but zote was kicking my ass for some reason lol
@@microman502 literally anything that is theoretically possible can be done in a tas, if you can't do it in a tas, it's the true definition of impossible
@@alienplatypus7712 in libTAS software, we can go frame by frame editing inputs, we also have access to hitboxes, savestates, slomo, health values, timers, etc, so yes you are correct.

Man I have a question, I'm not that much into TAS so, do you guys make the radiance do the same patterns over and over again and make the tas out of it or how do you do it? Great video, Any Radiance 3.0 looks crazy
Great question! There's not a way to force Radiance to do a specific move or pattern, but with TAS tools you can slow the game down to frame-by-frame to see what is coming next and input every move as quickly as possible. This lets the TAS builder essentially "react" to the moves that are used and work around them.
there is also stuff called RNG-manipulation, since the tas is probably working isolated you can get the same patterns when inputting the same things frame by frame, that means you can change how you do one segment by a few frames and the next attack is a different one. so in theory they are indeed "telling the boss what moves to make" albeit by going back in time and changing how they move, etc. to make the attack fit their needs. aside from this pretty vague explanation i also dont know how exactly this is done but my explanation hopefully helps understand it
