@@dltking25 Although the stages are large, SU for the wii/ps2's stage loading technique is very efficient. The game loads certain parts of the stage depending on where the player is to save memory. For example; If you eject the disc from the ps2 while playing, you can still play, but the stage visuals will eventually disappear, leaving you running on an invisible stage with random springs and enemies.
eggman: "sonic will never get past this egg shuttle called the challenge zone" robot: "uhh sir hes already like a 5th of the way through" eggman: "WHAT?!! ITS BEEN 6 MINUTES!"
Starlight Carnival: Ok air dashing to speed up the rail segment and boosting to skip the block segment, seems like normal tech I use all the time. *Next trick at **11:30* O-oh....
@@kelving420 I still to this day believe Sonic colours to have better level design than any Modern Sonic game. I thought the gimmicks were cool and fresh, and the 2D was an honest issue. But even then, it gave good platforming.
You went so fast, Sonic completely outran the light path and ran on... literally nothing, because air doesn’t exist in space. Taking the canon seriously, I see. XD
@Daniel GRAINGER What's said at 22:00? The famous "Good, Great, Awesome, Outstanding, Amazing!" Line. So, if you replace the timestamp with the line said, you get "This run is good, great, awesome, outstanding, amazing!"
Holy TAS. This is amazing to watch. Watching some of the levels then I blink and realize I've just missed one of the shorter ones because it almost doesn't exist in the TAS.
My favorite sonic game, being broken like ‘06. I love how the Blue Blur phases through any wall in existence. Edit: Anyone else wanna see Sonic in Mario Kart?
Yeah, that's TAS for you. All those frame-perfect inputs... There's nothing more impressive and ridiculous than a computer calculating the fastest possible route and then speedruning the game. :D
NinjaMaster85 too short, too long, make up your mind, personally this game is perfect just the way it is. 99999999999999999-/:;)(&/@,!dhauXhwnkydahebqkozchbkoewhwbbdk our 5
Mikester_Paltoes I just played through colors all the way for the first time, and honestly I disagree. Colors was so fucking slow and boring with way too many bland 2-D sections
Mikester_Paltoes I really liked Colors when I was much younger, I thought Unleashed was great when it came to the day stages. I recently picked up a copy of Forces for dirt cheap on eBay, I’ve been looking for opinions on it.
Yup. Most of the flexes were during the death of the darn thing, but he absolutely nailed the guy. I remember chasing that thing around and NOT catching him. Oh, just to think those were but a mere 5-7 years ago.
"6th boss appears" Me: Well, this is going to take some time "TAS defeating it before entering in 2nd phase" My face: "surprised Pikachu meme" My mind: Wait, that's illegal.
Progsmer Lmao. Personally, I enjoy the more modern style of sonic. I haven’t gotten around to the older ones, but they just look buggy and boring. Just go play adventure thre- I mean sonic 06.
Mystic Bros. Adventure 1 and 2 are actually a lot of fun. I can understand them looking boring though, one thing I’ve realized about them is that they’re more fun to play than they are to watch. You unfortunately also have to be prepared for some unfun stuff thrown in as well, but Sonic himself is a joy to play, and hasn’t felt as good to control since. I highly recommend at least giving them a try. As for 06, it has much bigger problems than just being buggy. I think Clement’s _multiple part_ review of it pretty much explains everything wrong with it.
@@Mystic-Aidan I suggest playing the older games before calling them boring and buggy. There seems to a be a trend now of days to go out of the way to find hard to find glitches and them use them as ammo to call games bad. Sa1 is one of the first games with lip sync so it's obviously not going to look the best, but once you get used to it and accept what it was for the time then i doesnt even become a problem. The main problems are really just Big and Amy gameplay wise. But they aren't even that horrid because both can be cleared in under an hour in a casual playthrough. Everyone else works fine and Knuckles' stages are alot more than people give them credit for due to how expansive and unhinged they are as compared to the versions in Sonic's stages. Sa2 Has little to no bugs aside from camera problems here and there. Despite what people say, treasure hunting is fun in it's own right. And the mech stages improve upon gamma's in a sense of complexity and actual challenge. The game places a emphasis on speed running and mastering each of the playstyles' mechanics and actually feels rewarding to collect A ranks since every step of the way you get something fun and new to try out. Compared to today, they feel like a natural evolution of the series which is why alot of people dislike the boost because it feels like a devolution of the series. I would say all of the modern games are great up until sonic boom, with unleashed probably being the weakest because of how fast it was rushed out and the problems inflicted upon the game due to that
Wow, what a fantastic run of one my all-time favorite games. The skips and exploits pulled off were absolutely stellar! Boy do I miss this game, what I won't give to play through it once again... At least I have Sonic Forces. *sigh*
