Partly because letting you farm bosses infinitely would create a broken scoring system, partly because it's an arcade game and a player can't just occupy the cabinet forever.
Is this with invincibility enabled? Because clearly the enemy fire hits the player many, many times in the game. One example here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9chdklpyVc4.html
No, there's no invincibility. While the bullets hit the plane, as you correctly noticed, they don't actually hit the hitbox, which is smaller than the airplane's sprite. I hope I explained it properly
There's actually some people capable of completing the game honestly, with hard work and dedication...but it would be too much for my already deteriorating brain
@@MadPunkerz Yeah I can't even enjoy playing this game anymore. It's like fall guys, I have fun at first, but when I do nothing but lose, lose, lose, I get really angry at the game and then I'm stressed and not having fun anymore.
1) Keep in mind that the actual hit box is smaller than the plane's sprite 2) This is a tool-assisted Speedrun - it's not "cheating" because I wrote think the video title
@@MadPunkerz"Actual hitbox is smaller than sprite" This reminded about get some bonus points for make a near miss (enemy's projectiles move into the sprite, but not the hitbox) in Touhou (known as Graze bonus). (Note: I never played every Touhou games, just have some information)
