Hehehehe HAHAHAHAHAHA! Some of my favorite lines from that "SHE USED ANOTHER POWER BOMB?!" Space Pirate 1: "She's headed towards the Wrecked Ship!" Space Pirate 2: "Phantoon will make quick work of her." "SHE'S TAKING ALL OF OUR WEAPONS!" And finally "The baby."
I love how at some point, the universe just quits and goes "Yeah sure, there's a door there, whatever. Elevator in the middle of nowhere, WHY NOT?!" 26:30
The beginning: Oh nice, some fast arm pumping to go super fast! And some frame perfect inputs! 25 minutes into the video: *Reality is a myth. There is only...The Baby*
As much as I have no idea what is happening in the slightest for a lot of this run, I can at least tell that it is extremely impressive, and I very much appreciate the music and SFX sync in the Phantoon fight
When the visuals started bugging out I didn't realize it at first. I was like "Well that's weird, there are two missile packs, why didn't he get both?" But then there were two of the next item, and I started to get the picture.
56:00 love the way he keeps a bomb on the eyes of the bosses, making it look like he greyed them with the morph bomb. Also at 58:30 pushing the head with speed booster
It was at the moment Samus started to walk in place with the x rays specs on that i just knew something was about to break. I still didnt expect this. Its like a scenario in a horror movie where things are just slightly out of place but eventually you just realized everything is wrong
It's so satisfying to see Superjumps and full-speed Moonfalls performed accurately and practically, in every direction, zipping Samus all over the place. I highly recommend watchers to experiment with the X-Mode, R-Mode, and G-Mode on their own and then re-watch this TAS. It will give you a new appreciation for exactly what's going on in this run.
I've always wondered something, and maybe it's a dumb question, but for the mockball coming out of first missile room, would it be faster to mockball later and closer to the gap? I only ask this as I would think being able to arm pump a few extra frames before the needed mockball would net some extra pixels gained in movement. Or is there a walljump check happening at the door to save time?
You guys remember that time Samus non-chalantly broke the laws of physics to finish her mission as quickly as possible, while also getting every hidden useful item Planet Zebes was holding?
I was expecting fast and non buggy gameplay, but I got multiple dimensions, double items, teleportation, deconstructed rooms, and 3 samuses at the end.
How is the glitch with the speed booster and Xray working that give him access to everything by a casual shinespark? How he got into lower norfair is absurd
