2:02 "Hey! I read in an article earlier today that you spend 40 hours a week playing video games and killing Yoshi... I hope that's not true..." Just so you all don't have to try pausing on a single frame.
Davut Sauze It was not on purpose, it was still the same cause! It teleported the TAS to another place. You can't even get through that without teleportation! Like how would you survive under lava?
Nothing like awesome swag through a hard hack. You completely destroyed Not Cool! You did justice to this as a TAS, finding new routes other than just perfecting the RTA strats.
Sure. I don't remember who's been playing this hack, but you should be able to search for this hack on RU-vid and find videos. (I think it was Dodechehedron, but I could be wrong.) EDIT: Yeah, Dode is the one running this game. Go check out his stuff. A lot of the strategies are similar, but some routes here are TAS-only.
@@gorilaodafamiliafeto5899 If you can't see an invisible block, you can't interact with it The only way to see or even interact with it is to hit it with your head first
Since he kept the previous Yoshi and there can only be one Grown up Yoshi on screen at once, the Yoshi he was riding turned invisible. An invisible Yoshi when jumped off of, makes you sky rocket very high in the air.
walljump is a well known SMW glitch since 2008 lol and It's really easy to do with tool-assistance, if you already know the basic principles. In RTA however, It's a bit hard since people do it basically by trial and error
For anyone who is wondering what Yoshi said at 2:02, he said and I quote “Hey! I read in an article earlier today that you spend 40 hours a week playing video games and killing Yoshi.. I hope that’s not true...” there you go.
They use various tools, such as save states, slowdown and frame perfect inputs trough scripts. I don't know much of the process but there're various sites dedicated to TASes that can explain how they work better
Tool Assisted Speedrun. They are kind of proof of concept speedruns, done using things like slow motion, save states or straight up programming movement. Edit: now that I've watched this one I would say this is more of a showcase rather than proof of concept. Certain TASes are often used as "the ideal run", in this case, this run is not RTA viable so it's more just for fun.
F212-0000-0332-8FAA I know this is silly and desperate, but Panga, you're the one whose insane works inspired me to play Super Mario Maker. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you for (obviously indirectly :P ) starting me on my own journey toward insanity. I've never looked back. I named the level above after you (it's nowhere NEAR as artfully and creatively designed as any of yours, but hopefully it's a good challenge.) If by some miracle you see this, I do hope you enjoy it.
