The only gripes I have with T4's gameplay is how you have to hold ↙️ instead of ⬇️ to crouch and how you could be caught in a compromising situation against the wall (quite literally).
This is sadly the best Tekken ending for Nina. After that we just get Nina and Anna's rivalry for the most part. There's nothing wrong with that as long you do something different with it, but they can't compare to this ending.
They need to bring Lana Lei and/or Edgar Grant over from Death by Degrees and incorporate them into the Tekken universe to give Nina something new to do. The rivalry with Anna has run its course, and the Steve saga went nowhere.
I actually had an idea in mind about it for Nina happening after Tekken 7. With Heihachi's death, Tekken Force and Zaibatsu divide into breakaway factions fighting for the throne and while Jin is working with the Resistance and Kazuya lets the warlords destroy what was left of the Mishima empire, it seemed like another lockdown into chaos. Several months later (or a few years), an unknown benefactor would declare they will fund another King of Iron Fist tournament to declare the ultimate end to the whole Bloodline war, if everyone will agree on a truce which will be active during the tournament. Nina was at that time in Europe, thinking about springing up a failsafe she had set in case Zaibatsu will go to hell - her path to claim it and end the war once and for all.
As broken as they were, Tekken 4 had some very interesting stages. Also, I like how Nina trolls her opponents with repeated back swaying 4:53 this happens to Marduk whenever he shows up in a Tekken 4 TAS lol
Only now I realize how many quotes the characters had. The hell happened in T7 to remove the majority of them, we will never know. P.S: this game is timeless🖤
I guess they think we don't really care about having so many win animations. If so, they're dead wrong. They add so much to every character and help to establish connections between them and the players. Even the non-verbal ones. Nina's "You stink!" gesture is simple, yet memorable, despite only being in this game.
They didn't expect T7 to be successful. A lot of work has been put in TTT2 but it still failed commercially, so for T7 they just focused on gameplay, it's the reason why there are not a lot of customization option, offline game mode, missing legacy characters, less outros/intros etc
One of the only displays of genuine humanity you'll ever get out of Nina. Goddamn, that art at 0:58. Chest and butt cleavage in one shot. In case you forgot who Tekken's original Ms. Fanservice was. Craig must tired of getting his life ruined in these T4 videos.
Besides Tekken 7 this is my favorite Tekken. The music, the character models the costumes the stages the framing of the story? Everything was perfect. “A New Century of Fighting”
Wow, I didn't knew that Nacmo started putting jiggle physics first in Tekken 4. If you wanna see them, make sure you are playing in 60 fps, go to to 2:13, and slow down to 0.25x speed. Truly Tekken has taken some notes from Dead or Alive when that was released.
@@patientnr.0409 it seems to me the more i comment like this in every particular RU-vid Video seems to be annoying just tell me if i am acting like an idiot and you are are right!!
It bugs me so much how Nina's Tekken 5 Prologue says that she feels nothing in regards to Steve being her son, when both of their Tekken 4 endings show the complete opposite.
@@E24KLawson That's a valid point, one that her T5 Prologue should have addressed. Instead, there is a direct contradiction between what we've seen and what we're being told.
I just realized I was five days late: that is simply unacceptable. I have corrected that for the future. I’m living off of this stuff, man. I need my Maina fix.
Despite Steve Fox being re-voiced in his ending (as well as pre and post-match dialogue in regular gameplay) for international releases, it looks like his "Look out!" line in Nina's ending went unchanged. Guess Namco flaked on that detail.
I love this game but the graphics and general look presentations really showing it's age and that's taking it as is by itself and not comparing to 3 in greater perspectives take.
