The 3rd Motor Rifle Division is en route to the industrial district of Odessa. Their initial strike has been successful, severely crippling enemy defenses forcing them to retreat. During the siege, units of the 3rd Motor Rifle Division struggled to secure a coastal airfield and sustained heavy losses slowing their advance. Satellite imaging detected Ukrainian reinforcements maneuvering to conduct a counter-attack in an attempt to recapture the airfield. The 247th Guards Air Assault Regiment has deployed to cut off the incoming Ukrainian reinforcements by seizing multiple routes leading to the airbase. The designated drop zone will require VDV formations to seize several small towns and other important areas, such as a Soviet-era long-range radio tower. The tower was originally designed for civilian use but has been repurposed to boost the communication range of Ukrainian military transmissions, namely to receive further strategic assistance from NATO generals. With the 247th’s window closing, they organize their offensive hoping to arrive on time. If successful, units of the 3rd Motor Rifle Division will be able to reinforce further solidifying Russia’s efforts in Odessa.
