Around here if they spot a known junky and search em' without a propable cause and if they find any narcotics they throw em' in jail for the night and depending on the cop give em a ticket too. Which is so wrong especially if it's a hardcore junkie like, meth, heroin, crack and other drugs that end up being expensive in the long run. Not only will they end up going through withdrawels in a jail cell but gonna have to somehow get money for their next fix in that state after they're released. And also people are usually on methadone for life and the side effects of long term methadone use are usually terrible. Better with subutex if that helps you cos if you ever have to quit then the withdrawels from methadone is far worse than heroin.

I said around here they usually do that/search junkies if they know you use anything other than alcohol. Technically they're doing their job but for just walking down the street they can just stop you even if you use drugs BUT do not break the law in order to feed your habit. Only law they break is getting high and thats nobodys business as long as you dont commit break ins or anything. Theirs always an underlying reason why someone would choose to remain high 24/7 if they could and I say let em' until the day they either die or decide they want help but you can't force someone to quit if they dont want to. Drugs both saves and destroys lives depending on the reason why you started using ( personally I was suicidal and probably wouldn't had been here now if it wasnt for primarily opioids) I started using knowing I would get addicted cos I felt like killing myself but knew opioids would stop me from going through with it. I self medicated and it worked until one day I woke up not feeling suicidal no more and was just left with an addiction but since my underlying reason why I started in the first place had gone away the determination to quit after 3 years wasn't too hard, but hey that's just me. (and weed stopped working long before I started using opiates all the way up to heroin yet I never hit rock bottom)

Fedor - I know you mean well, but what you need to understand is that you can't help someone who's not looking for any. I personally know a lot of street people and the bottom line is they don't want to change the things in their life that put them there. This may seem hard but people on the street belong there. The ones that want too change do and you won't find them out there anymore. There's a lot more help available to these people than you might think and believe me they are well aware of it. If you try and help them they'll simply go along with it and try and get as much out of you as they can. What "regular" people who have sympathy can't seem to comprehend is that some choose this lifestyle. Until they want to change there's nothing you can do.

Thank you. I learned more from these women than I ever did in college. You're right; street rawness. Four of these women have died in the last year. Two were murdered, one od'd on a heroin hot pack and another one died of causes unrelated to drugs. There are three other women I don't know and never met that died like Angel, from hot packs. A hot pack is heroin spiked with Fentanyl. Know one knows how much is going to be in a packet. The Fentanyl is the cheap shit from China. Believe it or not a lot of the crystal meth comes from there as well. This girl, Tassey, is actually doing well, living in a suburb, working, in a relationship. Everyone is happy for her.

I'm not a doctor either, but I've been in and out of mental health facilities throughout my teens and early 20's and from what I can see, I believe she has some form of psychosis, maybe schizophrenia.

He mentioned heroin in this video but heroin doesn't addle your mind like this. She's probably been doing meth or crack and hasn't slept for days. It's also possible she has a severe mental illness of some sort, although drug-induced psychosis still counts.
