Few notes as a Dutch viewer: The pronunciation was just hilarious. Also, there's SO much on there! No Dutch dad would ever allow you to put THAT much on. But cool that you showed it :) Also, the sugarcoated fennel seeds are also still sold, they tend to get used a lot when celebrating a recent birth.

I need to see what recipe you used for burek because... That's unlike any burek I've ever had especially in Sarajevo because I live here! Why all the sesame or whatever those seeds were?! And the fact that Jamie and Barry only had a bite of burek is why we actually don't usually eat it for breakfast unless you're gonna be like working in a factory all day with small breaks. There are other pies that are easier on your stomach first thing in the morning: zeljanica, sirnica, krompiruša, tikvenica when it's in season... Not burek. All the other pies are ladies but he's the man in the bakery.

Watching the last dish, the whole time I kept thinking 'please dont say burek, please dont say burek'. I understand it's difficult to recreate a dish you've never tried making (or eating) before, so kudos to you for everything! Especially with trying to pronounce every name perfectly. However, burek (pita) in Bosnia is not typically made with phyllo pastry. We make a special dough that is stretched reaaaally thinly (we use those long and thin rolling pins), then sprinkled with meat, wrapped tightly and then put into a round baking pan in circles. Burek is made with JUST meat, whereas a 'mixed' burek is made with added potatoes. There is also a saying here that a woman is ready to be married when she learns how to make pita. All that aside, I cannot express enough how happy I am to see my own country represented. I watched each episode hoping to see this so thank you!

Have the lads tried Brown Cheese (Brunost) yet...? Not technically a cheese, as it's made of whey, and cooked/heat treated so it has a sweet-ish flavor due to the caramelisation that's happening in the process - hence the color. In Norway, it's *the staple food*; best served on a fresh right-out-of-the-oven-still-hot piece of wholegrain bread, with a bit of butter. It is also *very* nice with a dollop of raspberry or strawberry (I prefer raspberry) jam on top or instead of the butter. Traditionally, it was made with mostly or only goat milk, but these days, the most common variety is probably the "G35" where the G stands for "goat" to indicate that there is some goat milk in the mix (roughly 10%, the remainder being cow's milk), and the 35 is the percentage of fat in the milk solids used. It is mostly eaten at breakfast or lunch, especially for school children who bring a packed lunch to school; it is also used in savory dishes sometimes, such as in the thick gravy used alongside our take on meatballs.

I would love to see you guys do a very obscure, not-very-British-seeming dish from the UK as an April Fool's joke XD Also as an American, every time the boys gape at 1,000+ miles of difference, I laugh. My home state is 620 road miles from northernmost to southernmost point and I can comfortably drive that in one day, so 1,000 miles doesn't seem that far. It's so cool and interesting how whole European countries can fit into a single state. It's especially fun to see Brits gape at the distances in the USA because most of them can get to a whole other country in an hour or two while it would take an American days.
