So tonight I dreamt about taking photos of Moon, maybe because I'm looking forward to photograph it. This noon I talked about it to my friend, then she asked, "Do you actually want to take a picture of full moon?" I answered no, my target is the "old" phase, right before the new moon. I got curious about what the name of the "old" phase is. I wiki'ed it, saw a picture showing how the phases of Moon works ..., then I remember Artosis. Damn, I think everytime I ask myself or somebody ask about why there are Moon's phases, I'll remember Artosis. And now I want a jacket or a t-shirt inspired by Artosis' science project. Or we'll just make a new idiom, Artosis' science project, a fail project because you are too lazy to make preparations for it. Thank you for the highlights!

Tasteless seems more professional but he's not. That's why his reaction makes me laugh harder. I always expect him to look at arty with anger but instead he starts cracking up. I died when he put his hand out laughing.

@@Demoniaco the phases of the moon is also the light on the moon(orange). Some people get it but over think it because they don't know if arty was real that dumb. It's all good fun. I get stumped sometimes because I think it isn't the simple salutation and want to get opinions. It happens 🤗

So what happened is that he thought that he could just shine the flashlight on the orange so that he could cast a shadow (of the orange) on the wall to represent the phases of the moon. Now, this would have worked - if not for the lights at the top of the room. Because of this, no shadow was cast as the ceiling lights lit up the whole room. He would have known this... had he even tried this ONCE at home, because presumably the same thing would have happened then. But because he didn't try it at all, he ends up going up in front of the class, turning on the flashlight and then nothing happens. Hopefully this explanation helps!
@@Frudgey That's not it at all. The phases of the moon are caused by the shadow of the earth. So bringing a flashlight and an orange to school, expecting to be able to create a "half moon" by just half shining your light at it, will just cast a spheroid shadow.
@@Frudgey If the flashlight was brighter than the lights in the room, it definitely would've cast a shadow. What I thought he was getting at was that the flash light was dead, but he didn't try it at home before bringing it to school and doing the project in front of all his peers. Either way, I'm in tears. xD
@@charlescook5542 While indeed the phases of the moon aren't caused by shadows, Lunar and Solar eclipses are absolutely either the moon casting a shadow on earth, or earth casting a shadow on the moon.
