I watched every video of Bangladesh series from beginning to end. It was very nice. It's nice to see you like my country's food. Love and honor from Bangladesh
I was never interested in visiting Bangladesh but after watching this series and also the Best Ever Food Review series I would really love to visit. It looks amazing. The food, the people and country all are beautiful. It's a side we unfortunately are not shown on mainstream media. That's why I've these channels so much
@@Paul.Reid123 Come to our Bangladesh, I hope you will like all kinds of food. This is exactly how the food of old Dhaka has been represented in this channel. I may not have gone to other places, but we often eat biryani, borhani, bakarkhani of old Dhaka. And their taste is incomparable
@@RumeesHouse I love all foods. There is nothing I wouldn't try. Now the world is opening up again and we can travel, Bangladesh is definitely on my bucket list. Your food looks amazing. I will have to look up some recipes to try and make some myself too
Hello Mark Weins, I love your vídeos, I watched almost all. Bangladesh is a amazing country, The food very taste ...The People is so friendly. Kisses from Brasil 🇧🇷 🇧🇷 🇧🇷
We are very crazy football fan of Brazil. Brazil football team is my no 1 favourite team around the world. Come to Bangladesh dear, hope you will enjoy too much.
I got to say if Mark is the best food vlogger in the world then Bangladesh vlog has been his best creation so far. All the foods look so unique, exotic, colorful, and no doubt full of taste.
Bangladeshi curry is much better than other South Asian curries. Texture of the gravy seems mild, not too much butter and ghee. As far as I know curries varies from place to place in Bangladesh, in some places people use less spice but they use onion, ginger , and coriander leaves a lot.. Bangladeshi food is really underrated, it should be promoted in the world.. Thanks Mark for giving us a comprehensive food tour in Bangladesh.
This bangladeshi foods are amazing. I also went to Bangladesh 2 years ago and tasted the cuisines, i still have that taste in my mouth. I had indian street foods but the Bangladeshi street foods were best. I am looking forward to coming here again
The typical cuisine stereotype they have for Bengalis is that they only eat and consume fish. After watching Marks series of Bangladesh, I realized how diverse and delicious the various food dishes are. From the main entrees, to the street snacks. So unique! Would love to try one day!
Well never stereotype. It’s mostly, a certain ignorant south asian neighbouring countries, thinks that way of us. But our food/cuisine is very diverse and has its own unique take.
The roti is a traditional food of the Rajshahi region. Traditionally it is consumed with chilli sauce with mustard oil. The duck curry and everything else you had, are added with this occasionally. This is basically the food for the hardworking people working in the field like peasants and so, for them to work for the whole day as this dense roti remains in the stomach for a really long time and energises them throughout their work.
An amazing subaltern dish, man. I discovered it for myself in 1994, and since then it has been remaining one of my favorite dishes. But you have to consume it just after being prepared. The more time it passes, the less it stays with the charm & taste.
@@recipesunboxing5563 in India, In Pakistan, In Bangladesh. Everywhere there are unhygienic uneducated low class people who don’t give much thought and care to hygiene. But in Bangladesh there is good level of hygiene now. Am sure other places improved too. But it’s not 100%
Full of the mouth watering foods. I like the dialogue of Mark " this is my type of food" . Awesome 👍. Bangladeshi foods series has its own identity . It's very nice to see the food variation. Absolutely stunning food and culture .

The tea sort of reminds me of the German bierstacheln. Bierstacheln, meaning “beer sting” or “beer spike” in German, is a process during which a short metal stick called a bierstachel (pronounced “beer shta-hll”) is heated to about 600° C (1112° F) and plunged into a malty beer for a few seconds. This caramelizes the residual sugars in the beer, creating a toasted marshmallow-like flavor and a dense, long lasting foam. The main difference is that with a bierstacheln, the introduction of heat to the beer is very brief so the beer is still cold - only the foam is a bit warm (the contrast is actually very pleasant). But with this tea, it has contact with the heat for much longer, which most likely results in water evaporation, creating the rich body and mouth texture they're experiencing. I love both beer and tea and would love to try this. I may have to try and recreate something similar.
Mark, I can't express in words how it feels to see someone representing your hometown from thousands of miles away. May have shed a tear or two. Cheers from a Kushtia homeboy living in Finland.
Most non appetising video i have ever seen in this channel… i m really sorry mark i love u but this cuisine unhygienic people using toilet cup and visiting card as a source for eating it is really yuck… i love u again mark
That bread looked incredible and I love how well you described it. Also that tea in the beginning was so interesting how it was made! My wife loves tea. I’m going to show it to her!
In Bangladesh we pronounce 'rooti' not 'roti'.Indians ; mainly who r not Bengali people they pronounce 'roti'. Same for the 'cha' whereas Indians pronounce 'cha ye'.
Agree, some foreigner also change the name of some food by fragging the ingredients. Like some say "Roshogolla" as "milk dumplings dipped in sugar syrup". That is really not good. Our food should be called as we call it.
@@tanvirfuad7943 Our so called food vloggers r responsible for these..... They introduce Gulabjamun instead of kalo jam Rosgulla instead of rosgolla Paratha instead of porota Masala instead of moshla Mutton kosha instead of mutton vuna We r losing our own terms
Legend has it that one day Mark will eat a meal so good, he will lean all the way out of the frame. I love how this dude is always smiling 😂 it tricks me into being happy for some reason
Mark if you come to Bangladesh again, try the variety of hot spicy dried fish Bhorta and dried fish curry in Chittagong. Also, try the desserts especially Comilla's Roshmalai and Tangail's Porabari ChamCham. You are the best.
Chittagong has rich see food items. But unfortunately they only show thir "masbani beef". Chittagong peoples are not well educated for their foods and cultures
Lovely Marky .. Feel like South Indian food meets North India there... Lovely Clean land... QUAIL we got lots of versions - KAADAI in TAMIL .. FRIED and curries here in TAMILNADU..
@@jannatulferdousmim2295 I am talking about the similarities in food & Nature with South Indian food in Bangadesh...I know were Bangladesh is located.. I lived with Bangladeshis in Melbourne, Australia
don't mix up whole north Indian subcontinent together. north east India and north west India food culture is different ..... Bangladesh situated north east of Indian subcontinent......
Shoutout to petuk couple for introducing mark to these underrated yet original Bangladeshi foods. You know you can't find this exact dishes anywhere else but in Bangladesh.
The way mark is so down to earth and so humble and showing respect to my country my culture is really making me eye's full . He was not even complaining about the hygiene, about the atmosphere not even is that place cheap or not ; he was just just blindly enjoying that food ! I have seen many so called posh bangladeshi people to complain about cheap street food, village food but after seeing mark and his humbleness making me love his personality more ! Thanks to Rasif vaiya and his family to give this much effort to make this happen !
50 years ago my mother would go to a quail ranch cook store and buy me cooked quail wings in a tray. Seems small and simple, but they were really great to an 8 year old. When I saw the quail it brought back 50 year old memories. Quail is wonderful.
I am originally from Chapai Nawab Ganj where this bread originated. Never in my lifetime, I thought, I would see Mark Weins vlogging on 'Kalai Roti' . The ingredient of this roti is 'Maskalai Daal' or atta made from 'Maskalai lentils'. It's actually a south east asian specialty, not found in other parts of the world. Kudos to Rajiv and Mark Weins!!
Wow it's amazing.. this time Bangladeshi food, you really travel around the world.. success always for the channel I'm a loyal customer from west Africa 🙏🙏
it is high time someone promoted Bangladeshi cuisine which is what mark is doing.and i am very happy for him because of that.he got my respect because like a real food vlogger he actually went to the country side to get the real taste of Bangladeshi cuisine.and Bangladeshi cuisine is totally different from indian. The usage of spices is also different. I hope people would come to Bangladesh and go to unbeaten paths and country side avoid the poplar restaurants and find and enjoy real Bangladeshi food.food all regular Bangladeshies eat.
Huge shoutout to Petuk Couple for showcasing Bengali hospitality to Mark. Mark it’s been great watching you enjoy Bangladeshi cuisine, do hope you come back again for more!
Mark it’s really upsetting that you didn’t try Sutki Bhorta!! It’s an Amazing food we have with white rice. I wish you tried it. I wonder why the petulant couple didn’t make you try this authentic one.
@@urwrong1713 he is a food blogger. He eats spicy foods more than any of us. Go check his blogs so that you can be sure how much spicy foods he like. Apart from that SHUTKI bhorta is an amazing dish and it’s a part of Bangladeshi traditional food. He should have tried it .
Hi Mark, Kalai Roti is basically made by Urad dal and rice flour mix. This food is famous in the city called Chapai Nawabganj. The guy who is making the roti is not that much expert I can see. The roti has to be puff up and upper part should be very crispy. However you must visit next time to Chapai Nawabganj to get the authentic taste of Kalai Roti. Much Love from Chapai Nawabganj
AsslamoAlaikum Lots of love to bangladeshi people from lahore pakistan, bangladesh is indeed beautiful country with beautiful people and your fish curry is my favorite no one can make better fish curry than deshi people 👌
Brinjal /eggplant You have to burn the brinjal/eggplant on a stove or wooden fire Smash the burnt b/E, chop coriander/green chili pepper/dried chilli pepper/salt and miz it together.
Slice onion in very thin slices. Lightly roast dried red chilli in mustard oil (not much) in low flame for sometimes until they becomes crispy. And then mix those onion slices with that roast red dry chilli, salt and mustard oil. You can also use boiled green chili instead of the dried ones. And roast an eggplant by brushing some oil over it on a stove, wooden stove. You can also boil the eggplant as well but roasting or buring the eggplant makes the taste smoky. And then finally remove the skin from the eggplant and smash and mix it with the onion, chilli, salt and mustard oil mix. There you have it, your eggplant vorta. Any basic vorta uses the same onion, chilli, salt and mustard oil blend base.
Bangladeshi people are so lovely & friendly. Hope you enjoyed the tour in Bangladesh. I think the delicious food & the food culture of there made you happy & satisfied. 🔥🧡🇧🇩
In the northern part of Bangladesh Eggplant vorta is made with fried green chilli & onion with mustard oil that brings a different taste! Very amazing! Anyway we are still getting volcanic Bangladeshi food videos from Mark that is really incredible! Love & respect from Bangladesh🥰🥰🥰! Credit goes to Petuk Couple 🥰!
Thank you for sharing what your family and you are doing! I have followed you for several years now, and I appreciate what you do. I am a better cook because of what I have learned from this channel. Blessings and prayers, positive thoughts and full of appreciation… Tell your awesome spouse she’s awesome to come along and be in the back ground. Thank you also…
Mark, go to Sylhet there are some dishes which originate there such as Beef with Shatkhora. There are great restaurants like panshi or panch bhai - please go! You can also visit the city’s many tea gardens
Mark do u seen any similarity between BANGLADESH & 0AK🇵🇰ISTANI FOOD?????DO U REMEMBER UR VIZIT IN PESHAWAR & UR FAVOURITE DISH (NISAR CHARSI LAMB KARAHI & PESHAWARI PULAO✌✌🇵🇰🇵🇰🕊🕊
Bangladesh hv lots of varities in there food .. not olny meat but everything ..both country dish are good . But in pakistan they eat more meat .. bangladesh eat more vagetables and fishes , dairy product .. and ofcorse meat ..and lots other things . 😌 Bangladesh use little more spices i think than pakistan ..not much
I’m really surprised to see Mark always pronounce all the words so perfectly. Fuchka , chotpoti, . Kalai is the lentil which is widely known as urad dal. Roti or ruti whatever it’s called tortilla in outside. This tortilla is made of lentils (urad).
