Great video man, Milk and Honey has been doing some good things. I belive they are yet another distillery that was set up with the help of Jim Swan. I really needed to know about Johnnie Worker earlier in my whisky journey, sounds like quality 😂 It's the "old scotch whisky" of the proletariat! It's even "olded in Scotland!" Cheers 🥃

I have, up to now, only heard of M&H. But what I heard was good. Otherwise: you really know how to spice your videos! Especially those grains of salt (which I mentioned in a recent comment) are measured out in a great way to give a really balanced flavour.

Great review. I took this to my whiskey club meeting where against some pretty stiff composition it came last of 8 in a blind taste test. I berated everyone that they knew F all ...they weren't learning anything ..this was the best in the world etc But as you said the youth and non Scottish character with some alcohol forward dominance got a low score ... they were the same with an Octomore ..and I agree with them ..its good but could do with some more time in the cask to develop into more of a Glendronach type character.

I’ve tried this release. It’s pretty good. Wonderful nose. Really wonderful. Good solid palate if not a wee bit young, like you say. I can see why this won the award, it’s to be taken which a pinch of corporate salt. At £50, it’s well worth picking a bottle up. For me, it’s a nice springtime Sherry option. 86/100 for me. A good off piste Malt.

We need a new ward category on the OSWA's (on line scotch whisky awards for those not in the know). It should be called 'The Worlds Worst Whisky Award Award (the WWWAA)'. Geoff you have the influence and gravitas, persuade Ralfy and Roy we need to call out these marketing tricks.. And we will all be able to recognise the extent of your influence and gravitas when this happens....

UK price is around 50 GBP; for a young single malt, this is overpriced, comparing with many 10-12 y quality single malts. Really funny video btw, nice clickbate with the title too, u got me 😂

I have tasted about 10 expressions at a Drammers tasting event in Seattle. Good stuff. The M&H whisky probably cost way less than the other competitors. Much better value.

M&H's spirits have won several awards, including category “winner” at the World Whiskies Awards 2023 for the Elements Sherry Cask and the APEX Dead Sea at the Frankfurt International Trophy 2022, as well as two gold medals at the 2022 San Francisco World Spirits Competition for the Elements Sherry and Elements Peated. ;-)

Hey Jeff greetings from Israel, i live here and love M&H, I know all their action figures. we even bought a peated M&H cask, with my whisky club. I think that this is wierd decisions. The Apex is great, but this one? I Best single malt? what? I mean this is a national pride product (get a little morning wood once in a while....hm never mind :)) but best in a world ? :)))

I'm shocked I missed this video. Very entertaining. Apologies for turning up to the party 9 months late. 😂Regarding packaging, try putting this side by side with Auchentoshan Sherry cask. They look very similar.... No, it's not the best whisky in the world but is very nice. I agree with your general comments, but my criticism is that they are trying too hard to make a good Speyside Single Malt and they don't have enough individual character. However, I hadn't thought of the fact that, as you said, thus will be very familiar to those used to Scotch Single Malts. I am also critical that there is no age indication, even on the back label. I would seriously recommend their Single Cask Oloroso Sherry and PX sherry releases. I work only 35 minutes from the distillery and enjoy popping in buying their distillery only bottlings. It was a good compensation for not being able to get to Scotland during Covid and continues to be, now we are at war and my sons being in army. We won't be leaving the country any time soon. I've had a sample of this and really like it - not as much as calling it the best single malt in the world. Runs around seventy bucks here in the states. Not worth it in my opinion. There are so many better in that price range.

This joke has got a bit tired since a U.K. national newspaper named Lidl's Queen Margot 8 year old blend "best whisky in the world" three months before judging of the 'competition' where it was included in a minor category. Of course, I had to buy a bottle - best £13.89 I spent that week! I have a bottle of the M&H single cask bottling for the Whisky Show London 2019 - "not bad, but a bit hot" was my main impression - I've tasted the Dead Sea Apex one - rather better - and I have a sample of the Pomegranate Wine Cask one in my tasting 'queue'...

Bought allready more than one APEX DEAD SEA (and love more than one of the APEX range - the cognac cask for example) but was not impressed by this ELEMENTS SHERRY.

When it comes to the Labial line of Johnny Worker, I think you were just giving it lip service.
