HUGE THANKS to ExpressVPN for offering all Food Ranger viewers 3 months free and 49% off their yearly package using this link: ExpressVPN.com/Thefoodranger . Travelers need ExpressVPN to stay safe online and to unblock any site. I personally use it for Netflix, even while at home in Canada, but also while traveling to unblock content and episodes that are geoblocked, and I also use it for security, because airport wifi and hotel wifi is often very insecure, leaving my data vulnerable. By connecting to one of their servers around the world, it’s just like my computer or phone is in that location, and all data sent while connected to their VPN is secure, safe, and private from others to see, so I know that my data won’t be hacked or looked at by others. Thanks so much for watching, and we have tons more videos coming up for you! Please leave me a comment below letting me know what you thought about this episode, thanks so much!!!
It's really awesome. That's why cow is the holy animal of india. Even cowdung can be used as a fuel. We have to need more elobration on it. It's great. I love it.
India is such a wonderful and amazing land !!!! I visited it last year and....WOW ! I loved the art, i loved the food, i loved rhe temples so much and i loved the wonderful people that lives there ! 🙏 India is really an incredible place 🇮🇳 an Varanasi the ❤️ of it !!! Love from Switzerland 🇨🇭
I used to live in village in india and my mom used to cook everything from that cowdung.❤I got a job and now I live in a city, sadly my parents died but I wish I can go to that time again eating that food which foreigners are making fun of. I can pay any price to get that food 😢 my parents struggle as a farmer, this was one of the reason I respect cows 🙏their cowdung was used as fuel by our family and we're all grown up drinking it's milk.❤
Yes he is so knowledgable that he lets Trevor call 'ghee' clarified butter, 'chokha' mashed potato, 'daal' daal stew, 'litty' dumplings, 'achar' pickle and 'gointha' cow dung cake. And its not just about name but what he calls them and what they are, are two totally different food.
Not even we indians have explored this much! Just love the channel cos it brings the taste of any city of India right to you widout actually traveling! #travelgoals ❤️
Cow dung is not present in the dish but it's used as a fuel for fire for certain villagers to prepare food they didn't eat cow dung Cows dung contains methane which is a fuel
I'm having two cows (ganga and laxmi ) , and before mansoon comes me and my dad used the cow dung to make dried uple ,which can later used on winter season as fuel .
Let's clear a few misconceptions here - Dumplings cooked "in" cow dung are not actually made of cow dung. Cow dung is used as fuel. That wasn't animal excrement which was being eaten. Indians in villages do apply cow dung on their walls and floors to keep pests and rodents away. It also helps in regulating temperature, I guess. However, this is mostly done in rural India and many Indians find it disgusting too.

@@blackbutterfly4739 bro, This City is Varanasi, The oldest city in this modern world. The old Varanasi is some kind of have dirty streets, bit the conditions have been changing now in 2019. Thanks to our PM Modi.
Yes that's because this is the oldest continuous civilization in the world. Every ingredient going into a preparation is there for a reason. That's what Bharat(India) is. Ancient wisdom put into daily practice.
I just love how the cows lounge around in the streets at peace with the humans. India is an admirable country and I hope I can visit one day to try all the amazing foods.

You could be a lot more interesting than you are - "Oh, so this is the sweetener eh? - Oh is this the spicy one? - Oh this looks awesome.." You are a million miles from Bordain mate

I LOVE Indian cuisine. Why is a country so rich in culture for millennia and yet so poor? That is a legitimate question. I know part of the answer, but would rather defer to experts to fill us in. I wish India well! We all know that the fuel used in cooking over open flames emits volatile chemical substances that may affect the flavor of the food, e.g., barbecue, tandoori oven, etc. I just wonder what cow dung fuel might do. "We must try everything once", say some. I think NOT -- everyone has his/her limits based on a variety of reasons. The Hindi script, like Sanskrit, is absolutely beautiful. I feel the same about many other non-Roman scripts in the world. Many people follow traditions blindly without questioning them. Traditions were created once upon a time by some wise people. However, one must challenge some of them within the context of the modern world and environment.
India used to be the Richest country in the world before British Invasion. here, watch this to know what happened. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-f7CW7S0zxv4.html
A country rich in culture was the richest country in the world pronounced as "the golden bird"...before those europeans came and looted everything. ..shouldn't u expect some time for it to become developed?

Valid comment. So if you could point out what the food actually is at what minute marker in the video, that would be helpful. Then we will know the real names.
The Paan guy needs to get some cover for his hands or he needs to get some helper. 13:19 touching the money with the same hands he uses for making the food is straight up asking for stomach issues.
I just love these Indian food tour videos, Indians seem super nice although I don't know how receptive they would be if a Brit visited! Might have to say I'm from the U.S! Haha, good video!
