As a teacher, I try to sprinkle something special into each of my lessons. Whether it’s an intriguing lesson hook, a crazy conversation starter, a refreshing brain break, or clever closing, adding novelty and variety keeps students engaged-and makes teaching a lot more fun.
I’ve whipped up a workshop for teachers where I share my collection of teaching strategies and tools that help me reach learners of at any age and grade level. And, yes, while it usually involves technology, I empathize the reasons the activities are effective.
I’ve got so much to share, that the Tasty Teaching workshop could be three days. But I’m flexible, and can present it as a one or two day workshop. Participants will leave with lots of ideas that they are implement right away. I also provide digital handouts so participants have a reference and a refresher for all the delicious activities and tools we explore during the workshop.
