@@nathandsouza7104 Agreed. Citroen looks more proportionate to me. At Curvv's t price range, Basalt would look even more premium (on top of the good basic form).
The honest rant at the end is what I want from car reviews... PD reviews are very cinematic, but sometimes feels like an ad. Gimme more like this and I may return as your subscriber.
Design : 9/10 Variants: 10/10 Reliability: 6/10 Serviceability: 4/10 Dealership support for EV : 3/10 Dealership support ICE: 4/10 Moral of this story is you have to be as good in Serviceability and Reliability sector as good you are offering. Game up TATA.
Everything is good about Tata now a days but still the same problem persist, reliability is the big issue and still post sale service is the most concern. Seeing lot of videos sudden halts on road and not starting and all so many issues still with Indian brands. Once if we buy a car it has to be hassle free to the minds.
Thanks a lot for mentioning the service. We have a Nexon ev, and he car is simply awesome, but the interaction with the service or dealer is utmost awful.
Overall TATA is the only BRAND RIGHT NOW in INDIA who is damn serious for EV's and CURVV is a testimonial of it! Secondly Nice car to consider but Services in certain places really needs to improve, in Assam it is fairly good as of now but the stories and breakdowns I hear on net are concerning! Rest loved the last part of the video just a raw conversation between creator and his audience, and keep it up buddy. and Do you think this car can be compared with TGDIs of the segment??(as it claims to delivers 400+km of range IRL)
@@powerdriftofficial For me it's the charging time. When someone has EV , they cannot go on unplanned trips or drives. And the cost for replacement of batteries at EOF, will be 60-70% of the car's value I guess. Below 100-200kms people tend to use bikes. Most People buy cars to go the long.
Well, EVs have come a long way from where it all started and today we are looking at a nice infrastructure as well. No doubt it still is developing, however, if you are in a city with commutes in and around the city limits, you should be okay!
Honestly, it needs a little bit of planning when it comes to heading out on a long drive, when it comes to looking for chargers on longer trips. It's almost like - back in the day when ICE vehicles came in and the infrastructure was being set up, planning was needed for long trips. It's just a cycle of effort till it's all in place!
It was a good move by TATA to introduce a new body style in the Indian market which was missing from the beginning. This helps consumers to prefer their style and democratizes the choice. I love cope-styled cars, I wish I could buy a Curvv, but I can't at the moment because I already own 2 cars Tigor and Altroz the usage is not that much. I like TATA cars just because they are rugged and you can go rough without worrying too much and they are better in rough roads and highspeed handling compared to Hyundai's and Marutis. if I am driving my Altroz diesel on highways no one dares to overtake me😀 Simply because they can't do cornering at 160KM/hr speeds in their cars.
Polo is a benchmark no doubt but altroz's suspension setting is also good I've heard...the only thing it doesn't have is a proper engine to move that car (petrol obviously)
@@shaileshvaidya9865 obviously I am not mentioning about mass market japanese and Koreans not the discontinued europian. If you are talking about discontinued cars then I prefer punto Abarth over Polo.
@@vasantbgoudar Looks like someone's feeling got hurt...no issues sorry mate , You will grow with time and will learn to respect car community...if you join any otherwise be happy Tata fanboi...we love you too
@@shaileshvaidya9865 yep you may be having more knowledge because I own car only from 4 years. I am aware of car perf mods etc and follow auto threads lately. I also had brief experience on some marutis and Hyundais and fiat Punto. Currently driving Altroz diesel. My favourite was VW virtus 1.5 but I had to settle for Altroz diesel which was surprisingly good. Not a fan boy of tata as such definitely liked its sturdiness , handling, high-speeds stability in this budget.
Great product once again .... As far as the Service is concerned, I am satisfied - mine is a 22 make Nexon petrol manual. However, room for improvement is always there. Good luck TATA.
Amazing design!! Amazing car !! Amazing EV!! EVs are the best! Tata is leading the way in safety, design and comfort. And BMW X6 was the first true coupe with the right design and proportions!
Happy with your review Very genuine and practical Have booked curvv ev Was going through the drive reviews many made But, felt u addressed a whole lot of issues both pros and cons with out any bias Cheers
I loved the unscripted part even more than the entire review because it’s crucial for users looking to buy a machine. They often assume that reviewers or experts will reflect the product as it truly is, rather than from the perspective the brand wants them to present. I really appreciate the unbiased reviews you provide, especially the product reviews and first drives. Keep up the great work. Drive safe! Cheers.👍
The first review from Cyrus that I didn't dislike. Good on you mate, take yourself less seriously - stop using phrases like trust me and give people useful info they want to know in a fun, relaxed way and you might actually find more viewers. That's what tenhut and the original PD crew did.
If someone had to introduce the coupe SUV design to the masses, the Curvv would be it. Not the Basalt, which looks more like a sedan. Tata Motors' design team nailed it in the design.
Reliability factor is to be checked now I don't want my car/suv not to start first thing in the morning when am rushing for job or getting halted midway. Tata needs to address those issues on priority
Perfect review bang on, well said for trollers, car really luks gd being a bold step yes they have given justice to it, always a a tata fan just waiting for sierra to come 🫶🏻
In Nepal, the Atto 3 and the Dolphin have completely obliterated the Nexon EV, which was reigning over the EV market for 3 years since its introduction. While the Tiago still holds a firm grip on the hatchback EV segment, Tata has to price its next vehicles cleverly if it hopes to stand against the likes of BYD and Changan which is taking the Nepali Market by storm. in Nepal, Since buying a similarly sized ICE vs an electric vehicle costs the same, buying an EV is a no brainer here. BTW Im very happy on my switch to EV I used to drive a Grand I10 which cost me NRS 18/km to run, while my Tiago runs at NRS 1.2/km. - Powerdrift fan from Nepal
I really like this car and I am genuinely considering it as our family's first ev since the range is almost what my I10 grand gives(500-520km) with a full tank, granted this will probably give a little less but with the features and the running cost it would be a much better choice then any ICE car in the segment, I am also super interested in ioniq 5 N, if that car comes to India, that would be a sign to behold, a man can dream 🥺
one more question, why the rear looks jacked up? it looks a bit inclined in front and also the door line is inclined. they should have made the rear bit bumper lower to the exact height of front, and also the tail light facing downwards or remove gap under tail light that would look better.
Rear side looks brilliant. Front = Nexon + Punch. Inside = Nexon + Harrier. There is a repetitiveness setting in. Put Nexon, Punch and Curvv together and look only from the front, they are indistinguishable. Plus, the feature list is not rich enough against Creta and Seltos. Therefore, the only bright spot is the rear. The final product is just a mixture of the existing bunch. Not cutting it for me.
Mad respect for calling out Tata's substandard service. But its pretty hard to believe that Tata's higher ups are completely oblivious to so many customers' travails.
Yes tata your products are great.... Just work on service...... Also introduce 1.2 tgdi on nexon as well..... Also 1.5 tgdi petrol for harrier and safari or 2.0 tgdi for safari
What are EV cars limiting their speed so low? Is it because the battery heats/discharges or software glitches if we drive it at 180-200 kmph for extended period?
Being a car review channel, I’d much rather appreciate you guys making detailed, informative, raw reviews like this one rather than the boujee shit. Hope this continues.
I had sold Tata because of bad service. It was not an issue with a particular service center. I tried multiple centers operated by different dealers across different states, the issue was the same, service is a nightmare. My car used to give more issues after the service than before. They used to shoot in dark attempting to fix but most of the times most of the mechanics were unable to figure things out. After selling that car, I again loved another tata car but forcefully went with maruti because of the service nightmare.
In my opinion, the Honda Elevate is one of the best designed cars under 30 lakhs. I think that the car's design is going to age extremely well & it will continue to hold its look for many years to come. On the other hand, I'm not that fond of the coupé design in cars, including the ones in the premium segment, such as the BMW X6. The Lamborghini Urus, however, I find quite appealing visually. Unfortunately, I don't feel the same way about the Tata Curvv or the Citroen Basalt, which may be because of the Urus' wider body, more extreme tapering of the roofline, and it's ground-planted stance that get accentuated with its thicker tyres, all of which compliments the visual appeal of the Urus. Still, I applaud Tata for taking a leap of faith. I have no idea how well this design is going to age and so I suppose I'll have to wait & see what the future holds. To clarify, everything that I've mentioned above, I'm commenting on it purely from a perspective of visual appeal of a car's design, which can be very subjective. My opinion of the Honda Elevate is also of the same. Visual appeal has nothing to do with features or value for money, and so that's a separate conversation aside from the stylistic appeal of a car.
I took a 50km test drive on the highway at 90 km/h, and based on that, I estimate it can cover only about 360km on a full charge. It feels very similar to the Nexon, with the main difference being the charging port located at the front. The best value for money variant is the Accomplished 55. While it’s a better choice than the Nexon, it still feels overpriced.
“SEATS” Although as you said this car has small seats , i feel all the cars that are getting launched are coming with smaller seats compared to cars like 10 years back , especially the mid size ones , The back seats of cars today cant accommodate 3 adults comfortably. While cars like City and Etios can easily do so .
Looks and features feels like mouth watering. All that happy moments will fade once you reach tata service centre. Why we need to invest our hard earned money when the service is pathetic and reliability is poor. I was a hard fan of Tata and own a Tigor. Don’t ask what all issues I went through, literally zero issues solved till date from service centre folks…
The day EV four wheelers cross 500+kms realistic range figures & keep the budget under 20L is when we can actually think of considering EVs as our only 4 wheeler. Otherwise it's only going to be a secondary car. Add on to the relatively slow developing charging infrastructure with significant failure rates with even the existing ones, there's still some time before actual exponential EV growth. Hope this picks up pace though 🙌👍
Why Tata not resolve viper issue small viper is always visible from the inside and it is in all the cars like altroz nexon and now in curve... Why Tata
Unscripted version at the end was 🔥 Nowadays in the car reviews, I think for each and every video there must be a unscripted version at the end where it states that there is still more improvement needed based on the customer feedback. Tata makes a good product but quality issues, indicator blinks at a high speed, all these small issues have to be rectified when one pays a heavy amount while buying a car.
