Tata Motors gave a thorough update for the Nexon EV. Tata Motors has replaced the Prime and Max designations with medium-range and long-range variants for the new Nexon EV. The Medium Range variant is equipped with a 30kWh battery, while the Long Range variant features a 40.5kWh battery pack. These batteries provide an ARAI-claimed range of 325 km and 465 km, respectively, marking a 12 km increase over the outgoing Nexon EV.
In terms of performance, the medium-range electric powertrain delivers 129 HP and 215 Nm of torque, while the Long Range version produces 142 HP and 215 Nm of torque. Surprisingly, the power output remains consistent, with torque levels seeing a reduction of 30 Nm and 38 Nm, respectively. The Nexon EV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hr in 8.9 seconds, with a top speed of 150 km/hr. It offers three driving modes (Eco, City, and Sport) and features a 4-level regeneration system, enhancing efficiency and driving dynamics.
