After the success of the Manet S 100 concept, customers demanded increased performance, especially due to driving in slightly more demanding terrain. The problem, however, was the agreement, which did not allow Považské strojárny to produce motorcycles with an engine capacity greater than 100 cm³. Finally, an exception was negotiated and the development of the 125 could begin. In the first phase, the manufacturer increased the displacement to 123.15 cm³ by increasing the bore of the cylinder piston from 50 mm to 56 mm. Engine power increased to 5.5 kW (7 HP) at 5,300 rpm, which also required forced cooling. The maximum speed rose to 85 km / h. The appearance of the scooter did not change, but the Manet S 125 inscription appeared on the visually identical motorcycle (Manet 100). After a minor change in the cover, the Tatran 125 inscription was added. referred to as Tatran S 125. A total of 95,207 pieces were produced.
Manet S 125 Type 03
This type was produced only for a short time in 1964. The bonnet is similar to the Manet S 100, the exhaust has moved to the right.
Type 03 - A (Tatran)
Production of the Tatran S 125 model began at virtually the same time as the Manet S 125. A more visible change was the more angular shapes of the front fender and rear cover. In addition, the headlight, taillights and taillight have been improved. Production was terminated in 1969, when Považské Strojárne stopped the production of scooters and switched to the production of small-volume mopeds (up to 50 ccm, the popular Babetta).
