agree with you. I had the opportunity to go to a karaoke box with a young American who was visiting Japan for the first time and couldn't speak any Japanese. He said, "I can sing Tatsuro Yamashita's songs," and I was surprised for a moment. I thought, "Oh, I see... Tatsuro Yamashita has released a few English versions of his songs, such as "Christmas Eve," so maybe he learned those and sang them," but he actually sang my favorite song, "Wasurenaide" ! ️ And he sang it in perfect Japanese, too. "Wasurenaide" was used as the ending theme for the NHK anime "Agatha Christie's Great Detective Poirot and Marble," and apparently he was a big fan of the anime when it was broadcast on US when he was little. So he loves the song "Wasurenaide" so much that he memorized it by heart. The power of Japanese anime is incredible!
