I’ve just been practicing for the past couple months and when I feel comfortable enough and at a good place I will end up practicing on myself 1st before ever going to someone else. Small tip - try and not have coffee or any caffeine before tattooing - should help keep the nervous shaking at bay a little at least! :)

So awesome man, I’ve ordered all my gear and been practicing on oranges, have made the plunge into tattooing myself yet though. When did you feel comfortable enough to think screw it I can tattoo myself?

I have a few tattoos from shops and never used numbing cream because all you gata do is lay there and feel the pain. I use numbing cream when tattooing myself tho because I need to focus on the lines and details and the pain distracts me from that.

Much better than the first one. Congrats. ;) Glad to see that you wrapped the machine this time. ehehe A lot of the shaking comes from the head mounted cam coz the lines are clean. I actually think you should use a steady cam with a tripod.

i love it i did my first tattoos of moths above my knee i will say that shit isnt for the weak! and putting in color hurts like a b%^*#😂 but worth, deff looks clean good job!

I always shake for the first 20 minutes and then get use to tattooing myself... Also wait ill you get to the knee, the closer you get the more it hurts.... lol. I just tattooed myself straight off. Which part of the West Country are you from?

Is it possible to get tattoing in a 1 year time frame , artist my whole life , many different forms , did tat apprentice for few weeks when was younger left said place had bad rep and at time I had zero confidence , during lockdown o got a Chinese kit 3 machines bits pieces fake skins , small research RU-vid and past memory , and already confidently doing decent linework shading techniques , I draw paint my life , so to my tattoo feels very much like painting building up layers from dark to light or opposite , even tho I'm new it feels familiar , also what skins are good to take ink , and can any take white ink , jet black white lines , I was hoping to give portrait style realism a go , faces , details light dark , but humbled with crappy Chinese rubber skins , so for now simple 2d designs mostly black , red blue work , just general input advice I'm from Ireland , and something love to get into asap #no scratcher prepared to learn humbled and evolve , was thinking of getting pig skin from local butcher I tried oranges bananas and the skins o got pretty crappy but what I do is put them in warm water and dish liqued stretch a lil , then dry , using coconut oil to rub and Vaseline , found works best , limited what I can get old-school artist💲😂, at moment I'm really aching to dive into a few hour piece when get right skill equip knowledge , on fake skin , any input help much appreciated tried local most big headed only few artist near me not even double digits ,
