I don’t know why you assume that. She may take psych meds now that have side effects. She has never been one to smile constantly. That’s why I liked her as a kid actress. I like your movie suggestion, though. I am guessing she has tried. Plus the first book is not really where she’s at since then, if you’ve read her more recent one.
Tatums never had it easy her dad being a narcissist and giving her drugs at a young age. She’s reached out to her dad for years and he is just a hateful man. Ryan’s a perfect example by being a bad father can ruin your children’s lives. Tatums owning up to her faults in her life while her dad blames everyone else.
03:29 um dude, no one would even know you have famous parents if you didn't go around doing interviews about it. guarantee this guy introduces himself to everyone by saying he's the kid of blah blah blah, then complains that "he can't be his own person". i love when people assume they're famous when they absolutely are not.
easily distracted by the dog....tweaking, touching the face......but still managing to be coherent and clear about what they were saying....I couldnt do it....
@@KatharinaK117 Please don't discount the damage parents can do to their children. Yes, she needs to take responsibility for her own actions. At the same time, her dad introduced her to the 'Hollywood Life' with drugs and booze. Ryan is toxic!
@@lunachickfringe5319 yes...but she, too. Like all of Hellyweird! Tht dsnt change, she must have said NOOO as a grown up. Especially as a mother of 3!!
@@stephenvolk7748 Weed. Or other drugs. Very sad. Such a beauty. But such an upbringing in Hellyweird...she s a survivor. From Pedowood. Hellyweird. Still to be so addicted to hard drugs...heroine, cocaine...thts just terrible. The way she talks you can tell it. Irresponsible...to be like tht. Hellyweird or not...
It’s obvious Ryan didn’t want to be a father with responsibilities so he treated his kids like they were his buddies and exposed them to mind MASHING nastiness which not only took away their childhood but which WRECKED their adult lives. He was an abusive BULLY who used violence to get his own way with and remain in control of the people in his life that he was supposed to love the most. Behind his stunning good looks lurked a MONSTER.
Tatum needs to find happiness and self worth OUTSIDE OF her worthless father. She has a lot to be grateful for and she has to concentrate on that daily.
I know Tatum how come a long way today and it helped that her children were regulated enough to be the adult with non self regulated mom .. I think now she gets it and always wanted nothing but a relationship ! She is so forgiving ❤
Wow this guy has an identical voice to this dad! I bet his grandmother would be very proud that she has been immortalised in this way. Having looked at the synopsis of Our town, it's clear that each generation of Ryan O'Neal seems to want to portray him as negatively as possible. Can't say I'm entirely sympathetic after the things I have seen him say to and about his children. Well done on Tatum for pulling through :)
I read: "Ryan Tubridy on Ryan O'Neal's Late Late Show appearance: What he said was terribly sad" I was shocked the way he talks about his daughter, after reading and listening Ryan O'Neal's last interview on late late show, I do not want to watch any of his movies any more, love story, sure, in real life he played garbage story, father who can talk about his daughter like that is a ……………….. you guess what is the word I am reading paper lfe currently Still how misleading can be person's appearance in make believe movie Lost desire to watch any of his movies
Read all Tatum's books, she blames her father for all her failures. But yet, she was a horrible mother! Kevin, looks like he is tweeking. The saga continues.
Yes, I agree. How can you blame your parent(s) for your failures when your own behavior had a negative impact on your children. This cycle will continue unlesss one of them owns up to his/her own failures and moves on. Get therapy so you are a healthy parent and so that your children will not go through what you went through with your parents. My childhood impacted my angry, abusive behavior, but I let that go and said I have to correct my behavior so that my kids don't suffer the same fate as me. We can't always expect our parents to change or to acknowledge their horrific behavior, but regardless of this, we ourselves can change and be a positive influence on own children.
I never understood the negativity. I was a child star, won academy awards, my father is Ryan O'Neal, my mother was a successful actress, why not embrace the good of it and forget about the bad...same with her son..live being positive about your life. Don't dwell on the negative..
I don’t think it’s that simple. Tatum was molested MULTIPLE times as a kid and she claims that her father was verbally and physically abusive. He also basically up and left her and her brother behind for Farrah Fawcett when they were still children. Their mother was unable to care for them in the first place because of an entrenched drug addiction. Money and fame can’t make up for everything.
I've met Tatum and I honestly believe she is NOT drunk or high here. I know it seems like it but that's the way she talks but believe me I'm not bias, I barely knew her and everyone hated her and called her "Tantrum " O'Neal. A girl I knew went to Pacific Palisades for high school where Tatum went when she wasn't off making movies or at Studio 54 lol. Anyway she said she was a spoiled, entitled brat no surprise there. But I have to say I can't put my finger on it but I really like her. She wasn't the warmest person but she has spunk and she is a tough broad and I guess I respect her for the fact that she doesn't take shiit from people because neither do I. Kindred Spirit I suppose.
She is high and it has nothing to do with how she is talking. If you've ever been around an addict you can tell just how ahe is fidgeting around it's her body language
penny dreadful I won’t get to deep into it, but not only have I been around addicts, but I am a recovering addict. I do understand what your saying and it pains me to say it but after taking a second look at the video, Kevin is being awful fidgety. But you have to understand that withdrawal can do that too. I still don’t believe however that Tatum used before this interview. I can’t see her using before being filmed, especially in front of her son who sadly has acquired the same demons she’s dealt with.
I'm sorry I'm a fan but I think she focusing on her dad so much she will never keep it together its sad that the kids are on the same road. Alot of getting honest seemed to not be happening in this video too. How can the talk about there success while high on camera it demeans it for others when they are honest
AND PEOPLE SHOULD MIND THEIR BUSINESS, THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU AND YOUR OTHER TWO BROTHERS, HAD TO ENDURE, AT THE HANDS OF RYAN, I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT YOUR FATHER BLAMES YOU, FOR FARRAH'S DEATH!!!
Pretty Much This Whole Family Suffers From Addiction & Mental Illness. Even Tatum Half Brother is in a Physciatric Facility For Over 3 Years Unfit to Stand Trial for Attempted Murder & Also an Addict & Ryan Oneal is WEIRD
Yeah, what is UP with blaming Ryan for EVERYTHING??? Scapegoat much, guys? Jeesh! Tatum doesn't own up to nor take personal responsibility for ANYTHING, yet talks about how she does all the time. Just cray-cray talk.
I, and my whole, entire, full family, all, also, truly, currently, and always, will pray, so very very very very very very hard, and earnestly, for Ryan O'Neal's, Tatum O'Neal's, Griffin O'Neal's, and Redmond O'Neal's genetically inherited, family, drug addiction, mental disorder, and for their depression disorder, for Griffin O'Neal's melorheostosis, for Tatum O'Neal's rheumatoid arthritis, and once again, for Ryan O'Neal's cancer, hopefully, not, eventually, killing him.
All these ugly thorns, in these gifted public ..... PEOPLE & their rose gardens?? Serious addictions running deep .... through an entire family .... is hell!
Wow, it's weird just watching this! I was 4 or 5 when I saw Paper Moon at the theater, and it was my 1st yr in little league when Bad News Bears came out and I dug Tatum. Then on the other side we became a huge country club tennis family starting around 1976 and ending around 1984 so I witnessed John McEnroes entire career, watching him on tv with John Sr, his dad always in the crowd with a hat and big sunglasses. Seeing this kid "spin-off" after watching the lives of both his parents for all of those yrs way back is a trip. Saw Little Darlings on ON TV. ON and Select TV were very early cable networks circa 79'/80'
🌸🌸🌸 SUCH DISGUSTING PIGS, ALL THOSE PEOPLE THAT TRY TO BRING YOU DOWN. CAN'T THEY SEE, WHAT YOU DID WAS MADE POSSIBLE BY YOUR DISGUSTING FATHER? TO ME YOU WON THE OSCAR FOR PAPER MOON WHEN YOU WERE 8 YEARS OLD! AND TO THIS DAY NOBODY HAS BEAT YOUR RECORD FOR BEING THE YOUNGEST CHILD TO WIN AN OSCAR, SO YOU ARE THE REIGNING QUEEN, AND I DOUBT, THAT ANYBODY COULD BREAK YOUR RECORD!! 🌸🌸🌸 I LOVE YOU TATUM O'NEAL🌸
They need to get over themselves-- move on... and quit blaming their poor choices on their genes. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for your OWN actions. My parents were both alcoholics-- abusive, neglectful (dad abandoned all 6 of us Irish kids early on) and we didn't have the money nor spoils these two here did---and I'm not addicted to anything! Two of my sibs are. One is in AA (in Pacific Palisades, btw, Tatum) and she, too, BLAMES others ALL DAY LONG! A pity party. The other is in denial about her issues (she's a celebrity, too). So--- get off it, people!!
