Hi! Thank you for commenting 😄 For sambal dishes it needs to be cooked In generous amount of oil so that the sambal cooks thoroughly and become tasty. You can always remove the excess oil afterwards and freeze for later use as the oil contains flavor also. Hope this helps you out.
Hi! This chili paste is not raw chili paste dear. It's a combination of dried chili, onion, garlic, tomato, belacan and more...blended into a smooth paste. @@AmmaSamayalFoodChannel hi yes i did follow your recipe for the grinded chili paste, but it seems to be too spicy to use 2 cups, maybe the 100g chili is too much?
Hi! We added in the homemade chili paste dear along onion, garlic, tomatoes and toasted belacan (shrimp paste). Full recipe in the description below the video 😍
Hi! Yes, normally we don't add sugar to the sambal but apart from a few dishes. The caramelized onions already contains sugar in them and the fried tofu already marinated with salt and turmeric before frying as well as the homemade chili paste is the one that gives the flavor as it contains belacan (shrimp paste) in it.
Hi! We added in the homemade chili paste dear in the blend itself containing dried, chili onion (shallots), garlic, tomatoes and toasted belacan (shrimp paste). We don't add tamarind to sambal recipe as we prefer the spicy taste but if you adore it go for it. I'm pretty sure it would taste good also. Full recipe in the description below the video 😍
Thank your for commenting. Generally for sambal dish you need to cook in generous amount of oil so that the sambal cooks nicely and giving you a tasty sambal. You can always remove the excess oil.
