This place is in a movie called wild horse's shows how beautiful this place was back then all this area is ruapehu king county in the autumn the color's are everywhere on the land yellow leaves falling beautiful green grass, frost ,fresh air a wonderland hunting an fishing area close to the mountain sky or snowboarding,we may be a small town here in taumarunui but we embrace our unique culture pls if your visiting our area kindly place your rubbish in our rubbish bins thank yous kindly global people of the world ❤❤❤
Well, at least they weren't flogging a DEAD horse here, as there was no animal to beat into submission so that it might concur with this proposal. Anyway, the NZ-Aotearoa wide health response crisis horse had bolted through an open gate long before, leaving in its wake one humongous Covid-19 debt. Also, following the concerted efforts of many founding individuals from about 120 years ago to insist on a locally consistent health & wellbeing program (Bell, Ward, Laird to mention just three), Taumarunui is hardly a convincing model of such. Many probably considered that if such a local Marae initiative had been introduced in 2021 or 2022, many within the town opposing it would have found some way to screw it up good and proper, just for the hell of it. Remember that Taumarunui is a town that still won't tell you that it is the epitome of a desperate, centrally funded, hand to mouth, low decile village or whether it is a very well to do, thriving township with a myriad of resource at its disposal with which to send a message to the rest of New Zealand-Aotearoa that it's fine and sitting in the rowboat whilst the rest of NZ sinks or swims. I really wish that the town would make its mind up on this.
