I am Japanese. I visited Tauranga as a school excursion and stayed for three weeks. I had a homestay and went to Tauranga boys college as a student and experienced a real life in Tauranga. I wish to go back to Tauranga, I cannot forget the memory. When I visited I was influent in English and could not make people understood in my English... It is a bitter memory. I had made some people confused but they kindly tried to understand me and I had a happy time. I cannot thank them enough! The most spectacular experience in Tauranga was the climb of Mt,Maunganui. The spectacle from the top of the mountain was so impressive and took my breath away. And after the climb, we ate fish and chips in the nearby park. Unforgettable taste and smell that even now makes me hungry. After the virus perish, I for sure visit Tauranga.
All of this is just a 5 minute drive away from my house. I love my beautiful city!! Thank you so much for recording this as I'm moving overseas at some stage so this will be nice for the memories.

We were students when we came to NZ and decided to stay in Tauranga. Both Tauranga and Hamilton are great cities, but the lifestyle is different, so i really depends on what you're looking for
