Everything is work-related for me. 30 years in same field, and continually getting fkd over by insecure jealous women. I cannot transition into any other field. I lost my job nearly five months ago, and with multiple interviews. Ageism is real and on your resume you go back 15 years. I have depleted everything so 401k gone and no savings. I am not materialistic in any way. Have always been a single mom with only source of income being my job. So things are pretty bad for me and stress, anxiety daily and having to come up with rent and bills to pay. I have had a life of responsibility since I was a young child. My goodness you nailed it. I have had a very difficult past year in a job that I now despise. I want to leave the industry but I am lost in what to do next. I’m hanging onto what I have as I worry about my financial security moving forward. It is about the money. Will I have more anxiety with nothing (the unknown) or is it better to deal with the anxiety I already know? I know that the exit is coming but I would be putting my whole family at risk if I give up my income.
