I have the Girsan Regard which I am very happy with. If I come across the Taurus 92 in stainless I may buy it as well, I've had a couple Taurus pistols and no complaints.
a correction. The trigger reset will be short if you press the trigger, hold the trigger down, rack the slide, and slowly find the take-up. It will be definitely shorter than the double action.
Good looking pistols, i have a 92x RDO compact, I've been thinking about a full size version, I might have to check these out. Can I ask the price? Thanks for the video!
I had two gen 2 Taurus PT 9mm pistols, a 99 and then a 92 years later, both sold due to circumstances beyond my control, no jobs and rent due. Both were great and accurate shooters, neither failed to feed or eject no matter what I fed them. I bought the 99 in 1993 for $300 and the 92 in 2008 for $385, neither had the decockers, or those now modern ugly rails. I now have a Beretta 92FS 9mm I bought almost two years ago with part of antigunner BinBiden's $1,400, it does not have an ugly a$$ rail.
I have the full size SS model and switched out for the blue grips. Looks awesome and is a tack driver. The recoil is much lighter than the compact and good reset, so easy to stay on target. I don't like the factory mags but thats easy fix. You wont be disappointed at all. Oh, I also have the Beretta 92 but thats my "babe", so I carry the Taurus. I have NEVER had any problems with it. Once you get used to the weight, you feel naked without it.
@@williamwillard755 I don't care for stainless or nickel plated, glare from lights or the sun can impede the sights, which can also alert your position to the person you're in a firefight with, those two finishes are more for aesthetics than anything. I never had any issues with the original mags of either of my second generation Taurus pistols, they fed very well, never had a ftf or fte, and yes, after leaving armed security, not feeling the weight of my duty gear and sidearm felt very foreign.
