Heck, even I remember this classic, and I'm in my 50s. Both versions be it Tavares and the Bee Gees. I was born in the 60s, but no doubt this was a great era for me growing up. Just a little bit more love in the world then, and now to see so much hate. You looked out for your neighbor, and they looked out for you regardless of what color we were. I can only speak from experiences. The love was more of a togetherness. Hearing this song again simply made me reflect. I wish we could get it back when people loved one another. Just a wish!
I love this song and this version more. In the movie their dancing in the dance studio and there is a place where they stop and hold........then they are spinning love❤❤❤
Every so often, we get two versions of a song that are irreplaceable because they seem to embody everything sublime about the Artist or the Group performing and interpreting the song. In my opinion, this is exactly the case with this track, because both the Bee Gees and Tavares versions are essential and represent what made each group and musical style so extraordinary. This is one of the best things Tavares ever did; it's simultaneously one of the best things the Bee Gees ever did. That both appeared on the same soundtrack album is a minor miracle.
Love this version of the Bee Gees written song! I love the Flute! Love that they used Flute a lot in Disco music & 70’s R&B! Great also is a full orchestra & strings!
I'm truly grateful to have lived through the time when this music was originally released. and also get to hear your masterful extending of these glorious tracks. It was a fabulous time for music, with some very talented vocalists singing some cracking songs. I really feel that the kids listening to music today are so badly short changed compared to what we had then. Keep 'em coming!!!
I can certainly visualize the past days of being in love during the 70's. A sensational time, reflected in the musical brilliance, and, creativity from "TAVARES." A drfinitive era, when joy was prevalent, and "DISCO" met each of us with effervescent joy.
I remember when i was very young,i was 13 and i brought this song at my dance party! One of my best friend and i danced with the moves film!!! Soooo much memories of funny and carefree times!!! Many thanks DJ CAT for posting this wonderful version by TAVARES! I love them and this one is very similar to Bee Gees version!!! Keep going strong with the beautiful music you share!💃🏼🎧💃🏼🎵💃🏼🎶💃🏼👍💃🏼🤙💃🏼😍💃🏼🤩💃🏼🎹💃🏼🎷💃🏼🎺💃🏼🎸💃🏼🎻💃🏼🔥💃🏼💥💃🏼🥰💃🏼
Ohhhhh the memories I have of these years🤗❤️💃🕺🎶🎵. This music is a fountain of youth for me. I forget my age, my wore out body, my aches, my pains. This generation of music is my gift from God❤️🕺💃🎶🎵
This is, and by far, the best remix of this song. Why? Because it keeps bringing us back to the delightful main verses, rather than constantly repeating the chorus. And the break is wonderful, with that flute chirping away. Thank you!
I was in high school during these disco days. Seems there were A LOT of house parties and after school dances back then…We ((ALWAYS)) wanted to hear the Tavares version of this song to dance to over the Bee Gee’s version. The Tavares version was and is PURE MAGIC!
Thank you my dear brother for your work that ya do may the gods and goddess bless ya with great ideas and patience and love and support as you love your work as your loved by all your peeps including myself love light life hugs to ya blessed be )0( Ric-Ster
I was thinking that it was the Bee Gees version that was in the movie. Of course, I have not seen the in many years. I will have to watch it soon. Thanks for the extended version, I enjoyed it very much.
@@Morcaiden Ahh... los buenos viejos tiempos, cuando se podía " encarar " a la chica que te gustaba sin miedo al ridículo o la condena social. O ambos ...
I like The Bee Gees version, ain’t trying to put it down. But the rendition by Tavares was much better. My humble opinion is that there should have been a longer version on the soundtrack album from SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER. At long last, here it is and it is fantastic. Thank you DiscoCat!
Love it!! I am getting my life!! I was born in 1981 but I love disco. You did a fabulous job! Can't stop dancing. I prefer this version to the Bee Gee's.
I love this version because of the way the singers voices blend, even tho Barry Gibbs wrote the song his singing is too, too high BUT Bee Gees also do a great job. I guess I like both versions. ❤❤😊
