Studying sucks but with this music it feels like an epic quest awaits you in your future. It’s like the work becomes your training for a greater purpose on your path, and when you finish, it’s when you complete this epic journey. Idk if others think that but it’s what I think. My point is that you are right and studying no longer sucks when you have this music.

In Delft, the Netherlands we have tavern that is pure medieval. Candles and stone walls, eating with your hands, a minstrel and music like this. It's called Stadsherberg De Mol. May we one day meet there, stranger.

As you enter the roadside inn, feet sore and throat parched, you’re greeted by a scene of warmth and welcome. The floorboards are worn and well-trodden, showing evidence of old spills and stains that will never be removed, but still freshly cleaned and highly polished by a loving hand. There’s a small bar and a few tables, all that can fit in that small space. The furnishings are simple but sturdy and serviceable. It’s the smell that makes you feel at home--roasting meat and spiced vegetables. The odor permeates the air, makes your belly rumble and your mouth water. A woman with a pleasant smile greets you from behind the bar, a musical lilt to her voice that reveals a good nature. “Welcome to the Rose and Lion, traveler. You have the look of one in need of a hot meal and a soft bed. The sheets are fresh as spring daisies, washed daily and aired by wind and sun, as is right. Not a bedbug to be found, on my honor. My husband makes the food, and you’ll find no finer cook for a hundred leagues. Trained in Arcstead, he did, and could have been chef to the king. Ah, but that’s a story best told over a mug of ale.” With a wink and a nod, she pours a pint of fine amber ale and presents it as foam rolls down the side. “Now. Sit, weary traveler, and enjoy what we offer. No payment necessary, at least not your coin. Put it away, I say! All we ask here... is that you share your tale, and don’t skip a single detail. The ups and downs of your life, a life unique to you and you alone, that’s all we want to hear. Tell us of your frustrations and challenges, of the thrill of success and what you’ve accomplished. Start where you like, and leave nothing out. That’s payment enough. There’s no currency more valuable than a life well lived and sharing it with others. But first, let me fetch your meal, and my husband besides, for we both want to hear every word.”

Very calm and relaxing compared to other tavern music I’ve listened to. Was quite pleasantly surprised! 🥰😍Took a nap during the daytime while letting this play and it felt as if I was some traveler allowed to sleep in the tavern during the daytime when it was closed in exchange for cleaning the place up after customers left. 🤣

@@BeardedDanishViking Good point, but ACKCHUALLYLY now that I think about it, OP might've meant a traveler with no money and hence could possibly sleep in a tavern (on the floor/tables e.t.c.) during its closed daytime hours in exchange for work there at night. I'm a scholar with a computer in the medieval ages. I just finished my classes and am writing the answers to my assignment while sitting in a tavern. The atmosphere is thick, no one is talking. The otherwise loud tavern is grieving because my exams are coming soon and I have ongoing assignments. But the bard plays happily on the small stage of the tavern, in hopes of giving me courage to keep going.

After finally finishing a quest you had longed to finish, you enter a small tavern with a bright smile on your face, you take a whiff and you smell people that reek of alcohol, it had been a while ever since you had entered this place and it felt memorable being inside it again. The bartender noticed you over the doors and he waves you over, you reluctantly sit on one of the stools as he prepares a glass for you. You felt nervous sitting down on one of these stools before, it had been a while,, hasn't it? The bartender smiled, happy to see you again and he asked: "Same again, [player]?" He said while wiping a glass with a cloth. You take some time to think and the smile you had grew large. "Yes, thank you." You said. The bartender lets out a small chuckle and he grabs a bottle from one of the shelves. He pours the liquid onto your glass and serves you the drink with cold ice in it. You nod in advance, thanking the bartender before downing your drink.

Always seeing such wonderful fictional stories... Sometimes we can't help but wish for a story of our own. To go on a journey ourselves instead of the characters we often imagine or watch. Not in a game like DnD, no matter how close our imagination takes us, but rather to actually be there and thrive in such a world. I wonder if we would even be able to love such a world though... When we can't even love our own... Or perhaps... Its our own world that has betrayed us? Maybe in the world of fantasy, it would be like a brief respite. A short life, but a bright life. Burning like a star for our souls.

So i write fantasy books and when i do "town senes" or any such easy going parts i listen to this music. When i play DnD and we are in towns or such i play the music on the channel for all to hear. You are doing good, the artist are doing great work. enjoy for you music is hitting thousands of ears and hearts!

This music lights my day up as it makes me think about all the things we couldve lived through, all the things we dont get to see or do anymore, yet it saddens me because a part of me wish i could go back in time and live through all those times. One thing that makes us fortunate nowadays is that we're able to kinda know how it was like back then and reminisce the past. Back then the people were probably not enjoying these THAT much and yet today we get to listen to what they were walking into and its f- great. Anyone has a time machine?

Music is wonderful and totally helped our campaign. Also loving the bottle of Jack Daniels bourbon sitting on the shelf in the picture! And the modern bottles of wine and indeed wine glasses scattered about haha. Great tavern background, possibly more of an Italian Tratoria though...

I plan my D&D adventures and campaigns for my party with fantasy Celtic folk music, it really just helps me bring it to life. It feels like I'm a traveler sitting in a tavern, writing about his stories and adventures with a mug of mead and with bards playing their songs. It really makes it so much more vivid and real. It makes me feel at home.
