I don't think Malcolm X was against "turning the other cheek" because he wasn't "strong" enough, I think it was because he saw how illogical and counterproductive it was considering it just allowed his people to keep getting abused and taken advantage of since there'd be no consequences. You're expecting someone who historically abused you to stop abusing you by turning the other cheek? That's strength? Note that Malcolm wasn't a terrorist promoting indiscriminate violence, rather it was about self defense.
But in any case, it takes strength and will power to turn the other cheek. A lot of people don't have the strength to stand down for the greater good and the big picture. Some times you can fight and win a battle but lose the war as a result. Public displays of violence are physically and emotionally gratifying but they often provide the opposition with footage and ammunition to use against the actual victim. That's why the opposition loves to see riots in the black community lowkey. They play that shit on CNN so the whole world can have a reason to see police shooting people as justified. They say shit like "look how dangerous they are" and "the officer didn't have a choice" and it's partly based on negative public perception, cause by our actions(sometimes). Sometimes it's more beneficial to lose the battle in order to gain ground in the war but it takes strength and discipline.
At the 2:20 mark, Tax is talking about the 'willingness versus the UNwillingness'. Where it takes a suppression of the the will and ego to NOT react the way the antagonist wants you to. That DOES take strength.
Everyone loses a fight the question is do you get better after you lose? Just because you lose that don’t make you Soft! Only us worry about the wrong ish!
People do wear this mask to put on this character to be accepted in this society. Just be who you are. People fight so much to be accepted it's sad. Thanks for that Tax.
@@Mindsetdevil So he can't be ignorant and hilarious??? It's unfortunate he couldn't let go of the street mentality. But on that mic he was funny as hell. Learn to seperate the man from his talent.
taxtone is 1 of the funniest guys I've ever heard without trying to be. he should have left the b.s alone and just did his podcast and stand up. The guy could have been in Hollywood and been a star.
@@LS-ub1iq sadly taxtone is just another lost brother that couldn’t see past the street ish to peep his potential as a human. That street stuff make them think being a functioning member of society is corny. They say pride is a sin for a reason
If you really think Tax approached Banga and Ave by himself that night you not that bright. Ave and Banga tried to rush him and Banga got MURDERED. That’s Ave and Banga fault not Tax. Furthermore that ain’t Self Defense either because I’m 99.9% sure Tax was not the aggressor that night.
There were many before tax he is nowhere near a blueprint for podcasting … ever heard of Star & Buckwild ? Joe budden? .. Joe really fathered tax putting the pod on SoundCloud was Joe idea.. tax copied that lol Charlemagne for damn sure paved the way 4 him
@@mkeonfiremagazine4673 …S/B and Charlemagne are radio personalities…shock jocky style. Taxstone was a bit more Rudy Ray Moore in his approach…and Joe…c’mon shon! Taxstone was a natural…that’s why Charlemagne went so hard for him.
