I think it more has to do with the fact that historically when white people come into a specific music genre they completely take it over.We've seen this with rock n roll,pop and country genres which are now predominantly white so I can understand why they would be weary.Even reaggaton a music genre that was created by afro latinas is now completely run by white Latinos like DJ snake,Daddy Yankee e.t.c
