So true! It’s amazing British actors can do the American accent so well. Idris Elba is another one that comes to mind. (They know where the money is in film.) American actors cannot do the British accent though.

Big Kahuna Burger were spoon fed american tv shows a lot (aswell as our own of course) but the same cant be said for America so it’s a bit of a culture shock to them when they hear different accents, where it’s quite easily for a person from the U.K. to impersonate an American accent

I've seen alot of actors from the UK doing American accents on TV. Even some of the biggest A list actors have parts of their real accent come through from time to time. I was flabbergasted when I found out he wasn't American. He absolutely killed it. The sad thing is he sounded more American then most real Americans 😂😂😂

I absolutely love the series and I can’t wait for the next series!!! ALL of you are doing such an amazingly EXCELLENT job in bringing this story to life!!!! The storyline is awesome and I love how lives, issues, race, neighborhoods, and socioeconomic groups intersect. That hospital scene with the assumption of Spencer being in a gang just brought me to tears. Heck several scenes brought me to tears. JUST EXCELLENT!!!!

also the show feels very real to life. the writing has been amazing. the acting is amazing as well. there's real thought put into how every scene and every plotline works out. none of it feels like a rushed fix to anything.

Taye Diggs has exact same personality in real life. He is basically playing himself but he is a football coach. However, Daniel Ezra, wow he is from London! I was so shocked when I first heard his British accent since he plays an American H.S. kid perfect with perfect American accent -South LA no less! UK is constantly bringing new talent to film.
