Yep. I grew up in the Bible belt and the "Christian" church folk would sit around and gossip about the woman who sold herself to feed her children and her addiction but they sure as hell didn't help her.
thank you for writing songs that are not about whiskey, trucks or fishing. country music has been stagnating for almost 20 years, and songs about real life, such as this one, will save it
Lady you are awesome and what a voice. I do believe you have found your calling. The good Lord is sitting you in the driver's seat and he is sitting right next to you watching you speak yours /his message.. Such beauty and strength with ambition and heart 🎶🔥
Loving alot of the new stuff in country. Real life stuff, Borderline outlaw, what real country is! Not the pop bullshit that's been country past 15 yrs! I grew up in the bible belt and so did my family.
My mom was addicted to pills. She brought random men around me constantly. I always wondered "why me?" I never thought I'd survive, I felt alone. But here I am, with 4 beautiful children of my own. This song speaks to me on another level.
Our life's tragedies make us who we are. Some are able to turn those tragedies into successes. It takes strength to do that. You should be proud of yourself...we are.
Excellent song! There's nothing like singing your lungs out about the downside of living in your local hometown! Taylor is so beautiful, elegant, sophisticated, and, of course, incredibly talented! I hope she becomes a superstar one day!
not outside the states. Country doesnt get the respect it deserves. i mean i live in germany, i know it. Feels like im the only non american who knows what country really is.
finally a song that ain't bout a tear in my beer or green tractor etc.... sweet baby Jesus a concernat real life problem in the world great song great voice great writer need more of this on the radio
I Personally know that little girl. And she has been through hell and I Pray daily for her not to turn out like her family because that song is so so true you can't pick your family. God Bless you Baby Girl Lil
I grew up in Pike Co, Kentucky. I was very sheltered but I now know a few people that I grew up with lived this life. Great song! You're killing it young lady! Love all your songs so far ❤
I don’t listen to a ton of country music, some here & there, but I absolutely love this! I’m in recovery & am from a small TN town. I think this song probably resonates with a lot of people in some way. ❤
I feel you! I moved to a different small town 30 minutes away when I got married. So still live in a small town, but it doesn’t feel the same as my hometown, in a good way. Lol
I SAW JAY MICHAEL ADAMS FROM 'RIP' AM I THE ONLY ONE THAT NOTICED??? Btw this is another AMAZING SONG by the one and only Taylor Au⚡️tin Dye and I have never been more in love with her music since I first listened to her❤❤❤
Came across this as a reel on Facebook and just had to watch the whole thing- I don’t usually comment on stuff but I wanted to share my praises because this is hands down one of the best songs I’ve heard in awhile. Incredible 🥰❤
so many ladies and young girls grow up in this lifestyle, and it's really sad that the parents don't try to change it.....awesome song and good meaning of the reality of life....
Damn girl!, this song instantly hits my heart ❤. Your voice is so powerful and amazing. Your such an inspiration. You deserve to be more recognized 🩷💚💜🩵💙
Love it. One thing though, you absolutely *can* choose your family. Blood isn’t what makes a family. Love, trust, and loyalty. *That’s* what makes a family. Not saying that blood isn’t family of course, just that it’s not the fact that they’re blood that makes them family. I have blood relatives who are absolutely *not* family.
Totally sounds like a 'Star Making Vehicle Song' if I've ever heard one. 🎵💜🎶 Hang on to something solid Taylor, because your ascension to The Very Top after this is going to be Meteoric. ⚘⚘⚘
Damnit girl I thought there was no more real country music 🎶 left you proving me wrong and I appreciate your music 🎼 ❤much love ❤️ from Kentucky keep it coming ❤
Been listening to this song since you released it, but there's something about seeing the video that makes it hit just that much harder. Great song and great video!
I heard this song once last summer and loved it and a couple of months ago I was trying for hours to figure out the name of it and couldn't so imagine my surprise when I'm scrolling my history looking for something unrelated and find it!!! Yes!!!❤
