80s children grew up with songs about love. Those were innocent times. Just clean music, actual lyrics, no need to twerk for attention, no need to taunt other groups. Just songs about love and what is good. I miss all of it.
@@kennethmaupin2465 Even us that were kids we remember Madonna, Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston, Wham, Michael Jackson, Whitesnake, Richard Marx, Michael Bolton, New Edition, NKOTB, Prince, Gloria Estefan. Powerful vocals, keyboards and synth. The music sounded the same live as recorded as there was very little music magic in the studio like there is now because you had to actually be able to sing and play and dance.
This song has carried me through my darkest moments. Battling addiction to alcohol is never easy but I am proud to say that I have been sober for over a year now. Love will lead you back was the song for my motivation to stay sober and reunite with my son and my wife. Thank you Taylor for writing such a wonderful song.
She has a lot of hit songs. I'll always love you, Tell it to my heart, Don't Rush Me, Send Me a lover, With every beat of my heart, I'll be your shelter, Can't get enough of your love, etc.
This song whispers sadness, love, hope, and faith beyond measure. Time is the master and the healer too. A small drop of love in an Ocean of pain. Omg Taylor Dane you have put every emotion in this song, no flattery. That's what makes this song extremely special. Taylor Dane, I hope if you were experiencing this love story your lost love came back.
I wrote a comment about this song a couple years ago. My wife sent me the lyrics to this song when I was deployed in Iraq (OIF I). I know it's a breakup song but my wife hears this song she get's emotional because we made it through that terrible time.. Now I'm home worrying she stays safe while she works in her hospital bring aid and comfort to her patients during these pandemic times... I hope she still sees that look I had when I first saw her in Homeroom for the first time in 1984... I love you so much Ophelia.
Your wife, and all the others that risk THEIR lives to help the sick people with this damn Caronavirus are SO much appreciated for all they do.It takes a great, selfless person to risk their own life to try to save others. Tell her how much we ALL appreciate and thank her.
This song brings back fond memories of a co worker and I riding to work together and this would come on the radio 1990 We'd sing along and not go into the building till it was over. Those were the days you couldn't just pull up the music streaming and there you were. It was wait for the radio to play it.
YES! I know exactly what you are talking about. There were some great songs late 80s early 90s transition. Timmy T “one more try” was a great song in this transition. Wish there was more songs like these.
This question always baffles me? Why would someone CARE? I mean if you look at the posts, youll pretty much know. Or if YOU really like this song, chances are someone else likes it too and is listening here or somewhere else. RIGHT? 😊😊😊😊
This song brings me back to 1990. I was in the 8th grade and at my first dance. The girl I had "loved" my entire life was sitting there and this song came on. I looked and her and she looked at me. I asked her to dance. What a magical moment. It is unfortunate that she moved during that summer, but everyone i hear this song I am instantly brought back to that moment. Thanks Taylor for such a great song and for helping provide me that opportunity so many years ago!
When i was a kid, I used to sleep at night while my dad playing these kind of old and classic songs on our radio. Now that my dad died lately , i will continue listening these gold songs
I grew up as a teen in the 80s. The music and really everything about the 80s was absolutely brilliant. A wonderful wonderful time to grow up. I absolutely loved it. Yes your absolutely right, the music back then was brilliant because it had heart and real meaning. Love and romance actually meant something back then and the music was a magical celebration of life. No decade will ever beat the 80s when it comes to music. It was just awesome.
Saying goodbye Is never an easy thing But you never said That you'd stay forever So if you must go Oh, darling I set you free But I know in time That we'll be together I won't try To stop you now from leaving 'Cause in my heart I know Love will lead you back Someday I just know that Love will lead you back to my arms Where you belong I'm sure, sure as stars are shining One day you will find me again, it won't be long One of these days our love will lead you back One of these nights Ooh, I'll hear your voice again You're gonna say Ooh, how much you missed me You'll walk out this door But someday you'll walk back in And darling I know, ooh I know this will be Sometimes it takes Sometime you on your own now To find your way back home
@@denisestorey6923 I'm gonna check it out. Been a fan of hers for years, not heard her sing live till a couple years ago on youtube. She has PIPES and a very strong voice.
Wow I remember me and girl having to go our separate ways when this song just came out I lived in Georgia and she was moving to Illinois but guess what we found each other again 6 years ago and are married now
@NiiCO "None of that auto tune or computer perfection" Then you need to listen to it again if you missed the smoothing. That's what studios do and have been doing for nearly three quarters of a century.
My first love broke up with me right before this song came out. I always kinda felt it was meant for us. It took 11 years but we've been together for the last 23 years! Happily ever after. Its was true, we needed "time out on own" before we could commit to a lifetime together.
BEAUTIFUL song and BEAUTIFUL SINGER.I know in my heart that true love may have a slight turn in the road but REAL LOVE returns and this time it’s FOREVER.♥️💕💯🌹😇
Zombiegirl Gaming The funny thing is is that here was this 20 something skinny white chick with massive lips 10 - 15 years before fat injections became the rage with a or the most powerful black voice in the scene. I'm a guy so i wasn't so much into her music but loved this chicks image. Fast forward to today and there's no one like her around. Back then she was pure power, volcanic in black, 24 years later she is a firestorm.
Taylor’s music has an absolutely authentic place in music that is all it’s own. Her music embodies what French poet Victor Hugo meant when he said “music speaks to us in a way that spoken words cannot.” I’ve used Taylor’s music as an excellent example to the young musicians in my music booster program. Thank you Taylor.

To the person that reads this, I ask the Lord to bless them and their family, to cure them of every sickness and pain, to fill their emptiness with love joy and peace, to rebuke the enemy from their lives. " ASK JESUS TO COME INTO YOUR HEART AND SAVE YOU, AND TO FORGIVE YOU OF YOUR SINS, FOR WE GIVE THANKS AND GLORY TO THE LORD. IN THE MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS CHRIST AMEN!
TheRivrPrncess Some years ago i grab at the opportunity to see a live concert of this lady at a club in New York BB King it was a memorable evening that leaves a lasting impression on me
I just love Taylor's voice it has so much soul in it, so much heart, so much feeling, so much emotion. Her voice is so strong and powerful it just captivates me!!
Who’s still listening in 2020!!! 🙌🏽 Where’s everyone from? I’m in Sydney Australia 🇦🇺 Every time I hear this, so many memories come flooding back. It’s a timeless meaningful song. Love it 💕
When I lost my first love I sent her this song..I didnt get her back but this song will ALWAYS be a reminder of her..2 and a half years of dating..siiigh..I often wondered "what if"...
Craig Tracy "If you asked me 2 "(Patti Labelle or Celine Dion) something we all have in common in life & love. I got green eyes of those who made the right decisions for they will be happy. Glad to B glad of summpin' rite ?
This song is soul beautiful! It makes me tear up everytime I hear it. This takes me back to such a great time period of meaningful songs and really talented singers.
I'm still a huge fan and really very happy for her that she beat her colon cancer. More than three decades later, the now 62-year-old Long Island dance diva is feeling good and grateful to be alive after a bout with colon cancer two years ago
I remember when this song debuted. Aw heck I remember when Taylor Dayne debuted! :) This song brings me right back to the fantastic '80s!!!!! Love these songs!
I miss him so much I will never forget the love I shared with him.. Despite the fact we are no longer together. I'm so thankful I got the opportunity to meet a real king.. I will forever love my beautiful one..
We kept going back and forth.. I had the opportunity to see him again on sweetest day ( 10/18/17) I was so excited we danced I told him I miss him he told me he miss me too.. However, I don't think he's ready or has time to be in a committed relationship.. I'll always love him because he's magical to me...
+Tiffany Evans That's really sad. He sounds a bit selfish feeding you breadcrumbs like that though. The best kind of relationship or the kind you can feel good about, is one where they practically put you 1st before almost everything and are happy to include you no matter what. I'm in a terrible place myself. I feel so awful.
Javier Garcia-Alvarez you're absolutely right! However, whatever you're going through I hope it gets better for you.. What I've come to realize is the best relationship you'll ever have is one that you have with yourself.. We have to be happy without the condition ( relationship)
I Was Getting On An Airplane And As I Was Walking On The Airstrip And Looking Back At This Guy I Loved In Malawi , Africa. As I Was Approaching The Airplane To Go Up The Steps.
