Taylor GS Mini Mahogany 

I just got a GS Mini Mahogany a month ago and I absolutely love it. When people say they can't put it down, they're not being hyperbolic. I agree that the Mahogany sounds the best of the various woods.

What a great sounding room. Great decay, which you can really hear on his voice.

Picked two up ... one for my daughter and another for my wife. Tried the Spruce, Koa and Mahogany versions and settled for the Hog due to the richer tone. It does project a full balanced sound belying its size (as evidenced by your demo) and rewarding for any player no matter where they may lie in the skill range. Bottom line ... it's fun to play!

Gonna be picking one of these up soon and gonna learn to play. Can’t wait

Believe it or not, I have a LE Taylor 412ce and a Vintage Martin D18 and I still use my Mini when I upload most of my videos to RU-vid. I love the smaller scale and yet it has a real big sound. Nice demo my friend.

The piece played @ 2:15 got my heart melting.... I love this guitar and will be getting one soon to replace my Yamaha f310p...

The sound from this thing is outrageous. Really big from such a small guitar. Loved the mahogany top. The 'e' or electric version of this has the Taylor expression system too, which is fantastic and was formerly only in their bigger guitars, from what I've read. Cannot wait to pick one up. One thing to note about this guitar is that it's great for travel but it's also a great short-scale guitar with a narrow 1 11/16th nut, and .013 medium gauge Elixir Nanoweb strings seem heavy, but presumably this guitar has lower string tension due to its size. Either way, I normally play .012 strings on a full-scale, full-sized guitar and playing the Taylor GS-Mini was effortless. So, people who have smaller hands or shorter arms will like this because of its easier reach to the lower frets (compared to full-body, full-scale guitar).

I just placed an order on a Taylor GS Mini-e Mahogany. I hope it lives up to the hype. I've never been able to try one out.

Taylor 114E or GS MINI e Mahogany ? I want one of them for a main guitar ,so i can use it on stage ,i really like the GS mini and i'm traveling for different gigs, so it's awesome for that, BUT i want to know if by picking the GS mini over the 114e i lose something quality wise ,pls give me advice ,because i am really lost here . Do these have the same quality feel as the upper taylor models like the 214?

Buy the build plans... would be fun to mess with tone woods on this. Someone should build an all solid wood version?

Would it be unwise to learn on a mini gs? I’d like the portability.

I just got mine a few days ago. I love it! Having to retrain my fingers some.. I’m noticing that the strings are killing me. While they sound nice - has anyone changed theirs? And to what?

I wish this Taylor had the same neck width as Martin guitars... I like to finger picking and thin or normal neck width are annoying.

I ordered it the sound and everything is great but is definitely for small stature people or kids not comfortable if you have big arm it fells very cramped.

Do you prefer koa mahogany?

I tried this and I felt Koa sound was much better imo.

I dont understand the hype on this. I swear. I just bought this guitar and arrived yesterday. I couldbt be more disappointed. The neck and frets are too narrow. My fingers arent that big and they cant fit in a fret (eg. A) in many chords. I think this guitar is meant for children. Now after 1 day of using, i am now thinking kf selling it.
