Taylor Hawkins Holds His Own "School Of Rock" 

So, so saddened that Taylor passed unexpectedly. What a beautiful person he was; sensitive, creative, goofy, multi-talented, generous, down to earth. Look at him here, probably having a really great time sharing his knowledge and encouraging these lucky youngsters.

Man. That guy was someone everyone would love to meet. What a great loss to our planet.

I always thought he seemed genuine, this video is a good example of this man’s heart. God rest his soul.

Infinite patience. The man is very good with kids. I do not know how a band as big (and as talented) as Foo Fighters be filled with such seemingly good people. You can't fake that kind of "decent." A bright spot in an increasingly negative, violent, selfish, and angry world.

I know both he and Dave have kids of their own, but the patience for your own doesn't always travel to others. These guys are fantastic. So encouraging, giving each one of those kids a chance (gently reminding the other of "turns"). Explaining different terms and styles. Good on them...just one more reason to love the Foos....stand up guys...all of them, for sure.

He is so amazingly patient and validating with the kids. He learns their names, he individually highlights their solos and spends time telling them what they did that was positive and interesting. He was a great teacher. I cannot begin to imagine the loss his wife and kids are going. ❤️

R.I.P. TAYLOR H. A friend to the entire world, is how he carried his self. And, on the flip-side.. he considered the entire world to be HIS friend. As a big fan of their music & vids, everything about the Foo Fighters will carry on, because i listen with my heart, to the endless collection of music, meant for everyone, everywhere to enjoy and love, like a brand new gift to unwrap every time their songs are played. Their awesome music & vids, interviews, plus, their look on life, is a go-to for me that's pretty comfortable, and it's only gotten better with age. Truth

And of course, what else would he start them off with, other than some Queen...he was a huge Queen fan and a great friend of Roger Taylor and his son Rufus.

Would have been absolutely epic to have him as a teacher for drums he makes it to where the kids are having fun and not boring. I’m a drummer and definitely would have loved to be taught by him he shows soo much compassion and patience. Him Danny Carey and Stewart Copeland are my 3 top drummers who inspire me.

Love the foo fighters and Taylor's drumming but that's not the definition of a cadence. (2:12 ). It's more like an ostinato. Still admire him for doing something like this though.

I am a retired elementary teacher, and I have to say he is a natural with kids. Ignore the kid that is trying to hog the attention, tune out the disrupters, model the attention to each child to show respect. Excellent.

I used to do the same when I was their age, even though I end up being guitarist I used to play some basic stuff on those buckets, these kids don't know what they just missed.

Man, I would of loved that at school. Taylor was a drummer fan boy and did not know how good his own skill was.
